A busy couple of weeks across three Syze Developments sites.

• Reclaimed tiles fitted at our large loft conversion in Petersfield, with the interior now ready for plastering.

• Screed poured over almost 500 metres of underfloor heating pipework - more than the perimeter of a rugby pitch - at our Havant extension. A big step forward as the build takes shape.

• 16 cubic metres of structural concrete poured in Fareham, preparing for a new Air Source Heat Pump eco heating system as part of this major refurbishment.

Fantastic effort from our teams moving these projects forward on time for our clients.

With better weather on the way, we’re looking forward to pushing ahead with the external works.

This complex roof was designed by our architect to adhere to the planning approval document – which specified that the original roof height could not be exceeded.

A traditional two-layer felt system designed to last decades was combined with a lead box gutter for durability, and a dry ridge tile system was used to ensure adequate ventilation of the loft space.

Reclaimed tiles were used where possible to maintain visual appeal from ground level.

New pitch roof construction replaced existing flat and insulation installed to new floor and wall framework. Several benefits achieved from this upgrade:
- warm cosy living room
- separate utility room
- second bathroom
- two larger bedrooms on 1st floor
