Job Opportunity: Automation Control Panel Builder
Location: Near Welshpool, Powys

Hours: Full-time – 40 hours per week
Working Days: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am – 6:00pm (3-day weekend!)
Join Our Team as an Automation Control Panel Builder
Woodtek Engineering Limited is a dynamic and growing engineering business based near Welshpool, Powys. We’re currently seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Automation Control Panel Builder to join our team, helping us deliver high-quality automation systems across a range of projects.
This is a great opportunity to take ownership of varied and technical work, with the benefit of a four-day working week.
Key Responsibilities
Build, wire, and install electrical control panels to customer and project specifications
Prepare and modify panel enclosures for component fitting and wiring
Compose and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics
Check components and layouts against wiring diagrams before and during build
Carry out internal quality checks and ensure full panel QC before installation
Commission control panels on-site or in-house as required
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
Assist with general electrical works as part of the wider team
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in control panel building, wiring, and electrical assembly
Ability to read, understand, and create electrical diagrams and layout drawings
Familiarity with electrical components, cable management, and wiring standards
Skilled in the use of hand and power tools for precise electrical work
Good understanding of safety, testing, and commissioning procedures
High attention to detail and quality control mindset
Flexible and proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Electrical qualifications (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds) are vital
