Project Update: Port of London Authority

We’re pleased to report solid progress on our project for the Port of London Authority, with a number of major milestones achieved.

• The Glulam and CLT frame forming the new fourth‑floor level and roof structure is now complete. Roof finishes and window installations are scheduled for the coming weeks.

• Structural alterations across all existing floors are finished, including the formation of a new lift shaft and stairwell.

• Internal fit‑out and first‑fix services are set to begin shortly.

With restricted site space, limited storage, and the sensitivity required near the Grade II listed pier and live client areas, the project has presented a logistical challenge, and it's been good to see the team rise to it.

In collaboration with SEGRO plc, Now Construction Limited hosted Royal Holloway, University of London at Axis Park for a live industry session focused on logistics, supply chain, and project delivery.

The session brought together both the development and delivery perspectives of a modern logistics scheme from SEGRO’s role as investor, developer and operator, through to how projects like Axis Park are delivered on site.

We shared a live case study of the scheme, including programme control, supply chain coordination, and managing time, cost, quality and risk across a 36-week redevelopment involving 50+ subcontractors.

This was followed by a site walk and Q&A, giving students a direct view of how projects are delivered in practice and allowing for strong engagement throughout.

Thanks to Chris Spalding MRICS and Colette Sharp for their support, and to LakshmiNarasimhan Chari and Abdul Rehman Shahid, PhD, FHEA lecturers at Royal Holloway, for leading the session, along with the students for their engagement on the day.

Project Completion | Eclipse Park, Maidstone

We’re proud to have successfully delivered a new Costa Coffee drive-through and four mixed-use industrial units adjacent to a busy retail park.

The scheme includes three separate entrance and exit points, each connecting to busy estate roads and A‑roads through Section 278 agreements. Working closely with specialist S278 contractors and local authorities, we ensured all works were delivered smoothly and safely.

The project incorporates extensive below‑ground SuDS to reduce pressure on existing infrastructure, and thoughtful design features that elevate the site’s overall aesthetic. The use of Kentish Ragstone across parts of the façade provides a high‑quality finish and a strong sense of place, reflecting the character of the local area.

Project Completion | Elstree Aerodrome, Borehamwood 🚁

We are delighted to announce the completion of this project, which has been a particularly exciting one to undertake. This new-build hangar provides a dedicated in‑line maintenance facility for a premier helicopter manufacturer.

The building accommodates four helicopters internally, supported by office space and specialist mechanical workshops to enhance operational efficiency.

External works included parking for 37 vehicles and the construction of concrete aprons to the front of the hangar, allowing safe and direct access to the two helipads.

Additional infrastructure works, including a new 500m access road and lime and cement ground stabilisation, were completed to support the long-term performance of the facility.

Project Update - Purfleet, Essex

Strong progress across all work packages this week on the 500,000 sq/ft warehouse refurbishment.

Fit‑out works are advancing well, roofing is moving into the next phase, and groundworks continue to progress with preparation for upcoming surfacing.
Internal works and M&E installations are well underway across all floors, the new perimeter fencing is nearly complete, and fire alarm installations are progressing. Yard extension also ready for its final pour and 14 loading‑bay doors down... another 34 to go!

A solid week on site with all teams pushing forward into the next stages of the project.

Project Completion - Valor Park, Milton Keynes

We're proud to deliver the full refurbishment and repositioning of a 200,000 sq ft industrial unit in Milton Keynes for our client Valor Real Estate Partners.

Our team completed extensive strip-out works, full roof fixing replacement, M&E upgrades, office reconfiguration, and comprehensive external improvements. From warehouse reinstatement to gate house restoration, this project is now fully prepared for future operational use.

Project Completion | Gemini Park, Beckton

Groundworks have been completed, including site excavation, grading, and compaction. New underground attenuation tanks and a drainage network connection to the stormwater relief system are in place, providing reliable and resilient water management to keep the site safe and dry, and the new concrete service yard, delivered with associated external lighting, is now ready for use!

Project Completion | Lydden Road, Wandsworth

We are pleased to announce the successful completion of a high-specification warehouse, divided into three industrial/trade units, for our client Valor Real Estate Partners. Situated in a prime strategic location in Wandsworth, this project involved the demolition of an existing structure - including asbestos removal, regeneration of the area, before construction of the three modern industrial units.

The development includes ancillary office spaces, dedicated parking and service areas, landscaped surroundings, multiple access points, highway enhancements, and robust infrastructure within the project boundary.
