Every year, hundreds of GE 1.5x bronze yaw pistons are scrapped, often without assessing whether they can be recovered. At ICP, we’re changing that.

Our in-house refurbishment programme restores these pistons to turbine-ready condition.

We retain and rework the bronze housing, clean & degrease the pistons, replace the friction puck and internal components using OEM-approved parts, and return them ready for service.

Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at how we bring yaw brakes back to life, fast:

Old G8X yaw brake units arriving from the customer ready for inspection, strip-down and refurbishment.

In-house pressure testing is in progress, ensuring every unit meets strict performance and safety standards before reassembly.

📸 Images 3 & 4:
Final assembly is underway. Critical components are being replaced with stocked parts for a quick turnaround and are ready to ship back to the customer.

We stock all key components and offer new yaw clamps for service exchange to help minimise downtime.
