**JOB OPPORTUNITY**

** 7.5t driver labourer/Scaffolder**

Sky Scaffolding Whitby LTD is looking for candidates for an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities
* Driving: Safely operate a 7.5-tonne truck, transporting materials between the yard and construction sites.
* Loading/Unloading: Secure scaffold tubes, boards, and fittings for transport.
* Labouring: Assist scaffolders with erecting and dismantling structures, often working to SG4:15 safety standards.
* Compliance: Complete daily vehicle defect reports and adhere to working time regulations.

Required Qualifications & Skills
* Licence: Valid UK Category C1 (7.5T) driving licence.
* Safety: Current CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) or CISRS card.
* Experience: Previous scaffolding or construction industry experience is strongly preferred.
* Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and handle heavy, irregular materials.

Salary: Competitive rates depending on experience.

Job description:

Loading and unloading of company vehicles. Servicing, sorting and picking equipment. Responsibilities
• Supporting the Yard Manager & Yard Supervisor
• Ensuring correct equipment is delivered to site
• Ensuring all the equipment is fully serviced, stacked neatly and ready to be put onto site
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment, within the yard
• Load and unload vehicles with the correct equipment. Heavy lifting involved • Stocktaking of yard equipment
• Understanding and co-operation in all Health & Safety matters Qualifications/Skills
• Previous construction experience (e.g. labouring/warehousing, or alternatively an physical outdoor role/experience) an advantage but not necessary
• Full UK driving licence.
• Forklift licence and experience an advantage.
• Good level of physical fitness due to level of work
• Strong team-player who is willing to get stuck in and support their colleagues with additional tasks when required
• Good with heights
• Problem solving, improvising and use of own initiative

Over the winter beneath the white temporary sheeting, a team of skilled craftsmen have been replacing the lead roof to the Octagon Dome. The old lead roof covering was carefully stripped, melted and recast on a bed of sand to make the new lead sheets, saving money and natural resources. Now water tight once again, the temporary sheeted roof has been removed and what a lovely day it was for the big reveal.
