Last night Dom & Joe headed over to Derian House Children's Hospice and their Lights of Love event. The event sees the grounds of the hospice turned into a winter wonderland with 100’s of fir trees full of twinkly lights all beautifully decorated by their sponsors, it really is a sight to behold.

🎄 We were thrilled to see the tree bracing system we recently installed was standing up to the weather, no this year!

🎄We are feeling fully festive at Link HQ today, celebrating Christmas Jumper day in Aid of Derian House. We have matching Grinch socks, sparkly headwear and a very special office visit from our Doggy COO Gerry! It was really tough to pick a winner for best festive fit as everyone has put in a brilliant amount of effort!

Congratulations to Jolaine for going the extra festive mile, creating her Christmas masterpiece which we’ve been informed required a hot glue gun!

The continued effort of our team for supporting all things Derian really is second to none. So, from everyone at we wish you a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!

Over the summer our MD and Ops manager attended The Little things Event at Derian House and had a lovely conversation in the summer sunshine about Christmas Trees, that’s right Christmas in August!

Following previous years Ellie Smith asked Barry if he had any ideas on how we could combat the great Northern weather, keep the trees upright and most importantly protect the beautiful decorations that have been placed on the trees by their sponsors.

⏩ Fast forward 3 months to November and another gorgeous slightly colder sunny day and we were onsite digging holes and installing a cable system to keep the trees upright, which in the summer months can be removed.

Today we visited the hospice, to do a quick quality check of the poles and cables (meaning we gave the trees a wiggle) and decorate our very own Link Christmas Tree.

🎄 Going with a chaotic glittery theme this year, we are thrilled to be supporting the Lights of Love event and look forward to what 2026 brings.

🎄 Christmas has officially started at Link HQ today as we made our annual toy and gift donation to Stable Lives. Taryn, Ash & Maria headed over to their headquarters based at the beautiful Parbold Equestrian Centre to deliver the gifts and spend a few hours being Santa's Elves wrapping gifts.

The charity expects to see in excess of 300 families who are facing times of difficulty from the Wigan and Skelmersdale areas, the families will get to experience a live nativity around the farm, and we’ve been told there’s even a grumpy innkeeper! The experience culminates in a visit to Santa's Grotto where each family will receive gifts from the big man himself.

After speaking with Carrie and her team today and hearing the wonderful things the Stable Lives team do for their clients, we feel beyond honoured to have played a small part in creating some Christmas magic, where it otherwise might be missing.

We would like to say a huge thank you to our teams, who’ve dressed down and bought raffle tickets for the last few weeks and to our fantastic suppliers for their beyond generous raffle prize donations!

🍂 October ushered in the start of autumn and another busy period for Link. We completed more than 2,000 reactive and planned jobs for our customers, covering everything from door handles to new roofs.

We are also proud to announce the start of a new relationship with RoRobinsons Brewerydelivering building maintenance across their impressive portfolio.

🍪 We met with many clients to share business updates and biscuits, and last but not least we held everyone’s favourite event – our annual ‘Link Bake Off’ in aid of DeDerian Houseraising over £100.

As we move through November, we are gearing up our teams to tackle the great British winter weather and provide our valued customers with a hassle-free service during the busiest time of the year.
