Paper Instead of Plastic for Overwrapping?

Heat-sealable paper offers manufacturers another packaging option, with the added advantage of good ink and lacquer holdout for high-quality printed graphics and branding.

Our latest video, shot at PACK EXPO International 2026, shows Atlantic Packaging USA's Canopy HS100 paper running on our ME120B Overwrapper.

From the reel to the wrapped carton!

These photographs follow the paper from the reel through the wrapping process to the finished cartons.

It's been a busy start to PACK EXPO International 2026 in Chicago! 🇺🇸 From setting up our stand to welcoming visitors, here's a look at what we've been up to over the past couple of days.

Our ME120B Overwrapper is running Canopy HS100 heat-sealable paper from Atlantic Packaging USA, giving visitors the opportunity to see the wrapping process in action.

If you're attending PACK EXPO, there's still time to come and meet Gary, Dave and Mark and see the machine running.

We're getting ready for PACK EXPO International 2026 tomorow, where we'll be running our ME120B Overwrapper with Canopy HS100 heat-sealable paper from Atlantic Packaging USA.

This fibre-based material offers an alternative to conventional plastic overwrap, and visitors will be able to see it wrapping cartons during live demonstrations at the show.

We've put together a short blog explaining more about Canopy HS100, its properties and how we'll be using it on our machinery.

October is month, and later this month we’ll be heading to Chicago for one of North America’s largest packaging events!

We’ll be exhibiting our ME120B Overwrapper, so here’s a quick glimpse of the machine in action ahead of the show.

In this video, the ME120B is running wrapping paper supplied by Jung Verpackungen GmbH. At PACK EXPO, however, the machine will be running heat-sealable paper from Atlantic Packaging, giving visitors the opportunity to see this alternative to conventional plastic overwrap in operation.
