SUNDAY MORNING… PASS THE COFFEE! ☕️💚

Good morning, you lovely lot! 🥰

Well… we survived Halloween! 🎃👻

Five children, enough sweets to stock a small shop, a birthday celebration thrown into the mix and two very tired parents! 🤣

If anyone needs us today, we’ll be somewhere under a blanket with a VERY large coffee! ☕️😂

It’s been one of those weeks where family life, business life and everything in between have all rolled into one.

But that’s the beauty of running a family business. Some days we’re out fitting garage doors, some days we’re buried in paperwork, and other days we’re making memories with our little gang. ❤️

And we wouldn’t change it for the world!

Today is all about slowing down, enjoying the last day of half-term and getting ourselves ready for another busy week ahead!

Although, knowing our household, the chances of a peaceful Sunday are pretty slim! 🤣

Whilst we’re enjoying a little family time, our messages are always open for enquiries, and I’ll be back to everyone as soon as I can. 💚

So, tell us… what’s your Sunday looking like? 👀

☕️ A lazy day with a cuppa?
🍂 Out enjoying the autumn weather?
🧹 Or tackling the mountain of jobs you’ve been putting off all week?!

Whatever you’re up to, have a wonderful Sunday!

Love from the Gordon family! 💚💛

SATURDAY EVENING… TRICK OR TREAT! 🎃👻🍬

The garage doors are closed, the costumes are on, and the Gordon gang are ready for a night of Halloween fun! 🧡🖤

Here’s our lovely bunch! 🥹❤️

Tonight we’re swapping quotes and garage doors for sweets, spooky costumes and five very excited children! 🤣🍭

And after celebrating our Annabelle’s 6th birthday today, it’s safe to say there’s already been plenty of excitement in the Gordon household! 🎂🎃

These are the moments that make all the hard work worthwhile. Building a business is one thing, but making memories with our little family is what it’s all about. 💚

Now… wish us luck, because five children full of Halloween sweets is going to be interesting! 🤣🍬

Happy Halloween weekend from our little monsters to yours! 👻🧡

We’d love to see your little trick-or-treaters too! Pop your spooky pictures in the comments! 📸👇

SATURDAY MORNING… AND TODAY IS ALL ABOUT OUR BIRTHDAY GIRL! 🎂💗🎈

We’re swapping garage doors for birthday celebrations today because our beautiful Annabelle is SIX YEARS OLD!! 🥹💕

HOW?! Where on earth have those six years gone?!

Our little pocket rocket, full of sass, personality, cheekiness and enough energy to keep us all on our toes! 🤣❤️

One of the things I love most about being a family-run business is that behind all the quotes, surveys, installations and paperwork… we’re just a mum and dad trying to build something special for our family.

And today, the garage doors can take a little back seat because we’ve got a very important little lady to celebrate! 🥰

Six whole years of loving you, watching you grow and wondering what on earth you’re going to come out with next! 😂💗

Happy 6th Birthday to our gorgeous Annabelle! 🎉🎂

Keep being your funny, cheeky, beautiful little self. We love you more than words could ever say! ❤️

Now… bring on the birthday chaos, cake and celebrations! 🎈🎁

And to all our lovely customers and followers, have a fabulous Saturday!

Love from the Gordon family! 💚💛

A LITTLE FRIDAY AFTERNOON APPRECIATION… 😍🚪

Can we just take a moment for this colour?! ❤️

We’ve shared plenty of anthracite grey doors recently, so we thought we’d mix things up a little this afternoon!

Introducing a gorgeous burgundy roller door! 🍷

And doesn’t it look fabulous against that brickwork?!

One of my favourite things about what we do is seeing the different choices our customers make. No two homes are the same, and that’s what makes every installation that little bit different!

Some customers love a modern, sleek finish, while others prefer something a little more traditional… and we love them all! 🥰

I think this one proves that sometimes stepping away from the usual colours can really pay off!

Now, I need your opinions… 👀

❤️ Burgundy
🖤 Anthracite Grey
🤍 Classic White
💚 Or something completely different?!

What colour would YOU choose for your home?

Let us know below! 👇

And on that note… HAPPY FRIDAY! 🥳

THURSDAY EVENING… AND A LITTLE SHOUT-OUT! 💚💛

Okay, can we just take a moment to appreciate these?! 😍☕️

You all know by now how much we love our forest green and gold here at Gordon Garage Doors… so when I had the idea of getting some personalised travel cups made, I knew EXACTLY what I wanted! 🦌

And just look at them!! 🤩

A massive shout-out and thank you to Missy Customs for bringing my little vision to life!

From the colour to our logo, they’re absolutely perfect, and I couldn’t be happier with how they’ve turned out! 💚

There’s something so exciting about seeing your own business name on things like this. It might only be a coffee cup to some, but to us, it’s another little reminder of how far we’ve come and what we’re building. 🥹

And let’s face it… with the amount of coffee needed to keep this family business running, these are going to get PLENTY of use! 🤣☕️

If you’re looking for something personalised, go and give Missy Customs some love! Supporting other small businesses is something we’ll always champion. 💚

Now the important question… what shall I get personalised next?! 👀😂

A day off from the socials… 💚

Firstly, thank you all so much for your understanding yesterday. It really does mean a lot. ❤️

Today, I’ve spent a wholesome day with one of my closest friends and the children, taking some much-needed time to unwind after what has been an incredibly emotional few days.

Albeit emotional, yesterday we gave our Grandad the loveliest send-off. A truly one-of-a-kind man who will be missed more than words can ever explain. ❤️

Our Grandad had always spoken about us going it alone, building something of our own and taking that leap of faith. And I am so incredibly grateful that he knew we had finally done just that. 💚

When I say this journey hasn’t been easy, I really do mean it.

The very day we went it alone and started this new chapter with Gordon Garage Doors was the same day our Grandad was admitted into hospital.

Behind the scenes of setting up a new business, closing the doors on the old one, juggling five children, family life and everything else in between… we were also hurting. We were watching someone we loved dearly become poorly, all whilst trying to keep everything moving forward.

There were days when it felt like everything was happening at once. Days when we were physically, mentally and emotionally exhausted.

But somehow, we managed it. 💚

And if there is one thing I will forever take from that man, it’s that no matter how hard life gets, how low you feel or how many obstacles are thrown your way… you keep going. You find a way. You make it happen.

And that’s exactly what we’ve done.

I think sometimes people only see the business, the posts, the lovely doors and the smiling faces. They don’t always see the things happening behind the scenes. But this little family business means more to us than simply selling garage doors. It’s something we’ve built through determination, hard work, a few tears and a whole lot of love.

And I’m so glad Grandad got to see the beginning of it. ❤️

Anyway… enough of my emotional ramblings! 🥹

It’s back to business as usual tomorrow, although I am absolutely squeezing a spot of pumpkin picking with the children in there somewhere! 🎃😅

Thank you, as always, for supporting our little family business. It means more than you’ll ever know.

Family run. Quality fitted. Locally trusted. 💚💛

🕊️❤️ TUESDAY MORNING… FAMILY FIRST. ❤️🕊️

Today, we’re putting the garage doors, laptops and busy diaries to one side as we say our final goodbye to a very special man. ❤️

A Grandad, a joker, a storyteller and someone who could always make us laugh, even when we knew he was pulling our leg! 🥹

Today is about family, memories, laughter, tears and celebrating a life that meant so much to us. ❤️

As a family-run business, we always say family comes first, and today is one of those days.

💚 Our office phone lines will be switched off and no surveys will take place today. You’re still welcome to leave us a message, and we’ll respond as soon as we can.

Thank you for your kindness, patience and understanding.

Today, we’re not just business owners. We’re a family saying goodbye. 🕊️❤️
