Linde has expanded its long-term supply of industrial gases to Tata Steel Limited at its Kalinganagar Industrial Complex in Odisha, India, doubling on-site capacity through the de-captivation of two air separation units.

The newly acquired ASUs are now providing oxygen, nitrogen and argon, enabling Tata Steel to increase annual steel production at Kalinganagar from 3 million to 8 million tons per year.

In addition, the expansion increases Linde's total capacity in the Kalinganagar region to more than 7,000 tons of oxygen per day, helping meet growing demand across the regional merchant market.

: In Glarus, Switzerland our team recently completed a tank installation for one of the region's long-standing manufacturing companies.

In just one day, the team successfully upgraded the customer's smaller tank to a T36 V300, providing additional liquid nitrogen capacity to support the company's state-of-the-art production facility.

Projects like this showcase the expertise, collaboration and coordinated efforts of our teams to ensure customers have reliable access to the gases they need to keep their operations running safely and efficiently.

: At a customer site in Little Rock, Arkansas, our @[urn:li:organization:1256744:nexAir, LLC] team transformed a bare concrete slab into a fully operational bulk gas installation in just one day. The project included systems for CO₂, argon, propylene, oxygen and nitrogen, helping support advanced manufacturing capabilities ranging from handheld and robotic welding to laser and plasma cutting.

Before a rocket ever leaves the ground, industrial gases have already been at work and they don’t stop until the spacecraft has completed its mission.

It starts long before the rocket reaches the launch pad. Linde gases, including nitrogen, oxygen, argon, hydrogen, helium, xenon and krypton, play a critical role in enabling the technologies and components that make spaceflight possible. These gases are also used throughout the additive manufacturing fabrication chain to produce lightweight 3D-printed engine components and in advanced testing environments, where cryogenic gases help recreate the extreme conditions of space to validate spacecraft performance and reliability.

Then comes the power. Propellants, liquid hydrogen and oxygen, combine to generate the immense thrust needed to escape gravity.

But, once a spacecraft reaches orbit, power becomes less important than precision.

This is when rare, high-purity gases power the ion thrusters that provide spacecraft and satellites with small, precise adjustments needed to reach, maintain and change orbit.
