Last month, the team headed to Rebel Rosie's in Wolverhampton for a well-earned social, a few drinks, some friendly competition and a bit of karaoke.

🔎 When was the last significant change made to your water system?

🔎 Are there any outstanding remedial recommendations?
🔎 If you had a positive Legionella result tomorrow, would you know what to do?

Reality: Little-used outlets can require more attention.

When a tap, shower or other outlet isn't used regularly, water can remain stagnant for longer periods.

This can make little-used outlets an important consideration when managing Legionella risk, particularly in buildings where occupancy or room usage changes regularly.
Think about:

💧 Empty bedrooms in care homes
💧 Classrooms during school holidays
💧 Unused areas of offices
💧 Seasonal areas within hotels and leisure facilities

The key is knowing which outlets are little used and making sure your flushing programme reflects how the building is actually being used.

Earlier this month, we joined the fantastic Wolverhampton Grand at The Cedar Grange Care Home for the relaunch of the Memory Café Tour in 2026.

We’re delighted to continue our support of the tour, now in its fifth year. The tour brings dementia-friendly theatre and live music directly into local care homes, giving residents, carers and staff the chance to enjoy live entertainment in a familiar and comfortable setting.

Supporting initiatives like this means a lot to us. We work closely with care providers every day, so we understand the importance of creating safe, supportive environments where residents can thrive.

It’s also a partnership that reflects our values of Care, Commitment and Consistency.

We’re looking forward to following the Memory Café Tour throughout 2026 and seeing the difference it continues to make across the local care community!
