In Loving Memory of Walker
Today, all of us at Dinos Building Ltd are reflecting on the passing of a true Wolverhampton legend, a gentleman, and a dear friend: Kirk Firewalker.
Our journey with Kirk started with a kettle and a neighborly favor. We had just acquired the land next door to Firewalker Gym, which had been open for less than a year. While we were busy building our depot and borrowing water from the neighbors, Kirk noticed us.
We remember asking to fill our kettle in his reception. Kirk overheard, poked his head in, and asked what we were up to. At the time, he had the coffee machine and the Thai restaurant running, but instead of just letting us use the tap, he took it upon himself to look after us. He had his staff prepare drinks for our entire crew and bring them over personally.
That was Kirk. It was his way of breaking the ice and welcoming us to the neighborhood.
What started as a "good excuse to meet the neighbors" turned into a lifelong relationship. We didn’t just become neighbors; we became members of his gym, and he became a valued client of ours. From the nursery construction on Salisbury Street to the two or three projects that followed, Kirk was a dream to work with—a sharp businessman with a heart of gold.
For Daniel, the connection went even deeper, having known Kirk since he was a young child back at the gym in Heath Town. To go from looking up to him as a kid to working alongside him as a man was a true honor.
Kirk was more than just a gym instructor or a client; he was a genuine, kind-hearted friend who always looked out for those around him. This photo was captured during a celebration meal after we finished a project for him—a moment of joy and friendship we will always cherish.
Rest in peace, Kirk. You left a mark on Wolverhampton that will never be erased.
With respect and deepest sympathy,
Dino, Daniel, and the team at Dinos Building Ltd
