News:
We’re not moving, we’re expanding!

Fluoro-Tech Limited are pleased to announce that we have acquired a second unit on our Industrial Estate based in Wolverhampton.

This increases our operational/production space to 10,000sq ft.

Since opening in 2016 we have grown significantly in the Defence, Aerospace and recently Space sectors as well as Nuclear, Oil and Gas, and Automotive Industries.

What this means:

(1)Our mechanical testing will be moved into the new premises with new CNC machining capabilities, along with our X-Ray bay.

(2)Steel Bar handling capabilities will be increased that require MT, PT and UT testing.

(3)All round, On Time Deliveries will improve.

(4)Lots of storage space for steel bar, plate and palletised goods.

(5)Scope to extend current systems in Unit 3 to increase output.

(6)Opportunities for future employment to grow our existing team.

All controlled under our BS EN ISO 9001 and AS9100D certification and BS EN ISO 17025 accreditation with our long standing business ethos: “Providing a Safer World through Testing and Inspection”

A small laboratory in Wolverhampton.

10 years of revenue growth.

Dear Customer,

Some News.

Its been a long time coming, but finally our custom built ERP system is up and running. Yipee!

For 10 years we’ve ran our business using word based job cards, excel based reports and quite frankly been stuck in the stone age.

What this means
- So the first noticeable changes will be our report numbers. They’ll be 6 digits long and start with a ‘0’ for example 032393. For orders with multiple items, the consecutive reports will have a /1, /2 and so on, keeping each page unique.
- Other noticeable changes will be our advice notes and certificate of conformities.

Other Benefits
Changes that benefit our customers.
- When a job is booked in, you’ll have an order acknowledgement sent to you (still working on adding the details). So you know we have it and we’re working on it – a little like Uber Eats I suppose.
- Easier progressing reports.
- Speedier booking in and despatching process.
- Barcoding!! So we can provide accurate updates on job processing times.
When a job is tested, packed and the despatch button pressed – you’ll have an email copy of the Advice note and Certificate of Conformity – your order is on its way!
- Quicker issuing of Test Reports

Changes that benefit Fluoro-Tech.
- KPI Management! More eyes on targets
- Stock management for test material
- Contract review improvements

It’ll take some getting used to and we’re inputting more and more details daily but we expect by the end of the year all will be sorted.

Great news.

We are diversifying, enhancing and being awesome.

Fluoro-Tech Limited have reached another milestone 1 year earlier than originally planned in our BP to add mechanical testing to our business activities. We have invested around £150,000 in new test machines that can perform, Tensile Testing, Impact Testing, Chemical Analysis OES, Positive Material Identification, Rockwell Hardness and Brinell Hardness.

The investement is our plan to create more employment opportunities in Wolverhampton, upskill our already brilliant staff, provide an incredible level of quality assurance and customer satisfaction and show commitment to Fluoro-Tech’s long term commitment to be here for a good few years to come.

But I must add, we haven’t been doing our best just lately with a couple of things. Although we offer a relatively quick turnaround, same days, 24 hours and 48 hours, our test certification delay is letting you down. The majority of the time we’re “on it” but lately we have been behind. Our reports are incredibly detailed but no one can wait a few days for it to end up in your mailbox, and we have acknowledged that.

So we are trying to improve this and planning the installation of a new ERP system to help handle things. I promise our current customers and potential new customers, we will get onto this and better ourselves.

Please do take note this is a hot off the press announcement and although we are ISO 17025 accredited, the services may not be on our UKAS schedule for a few months to come. For services that are accredited, please check out out schedule of accreditation on the UKAS website.

Oh, it’s Paul Sparks of Niton UK Limited delivering a new PMI XRF modelled by our very own Ops manager extraordinaire James Parsons, along with Jack Holder the day 1 employee, multi-disciplined NDT Technician extraordinaire, knows every inch of what we do, probably because he’s designed it and that handsome devil in the doorway is our chief sweeperuperer, he’s had the same broom for 8 years, it’s just had a couple of new handles and bristles we can’t get rid of him and no one wants him.

It’s our Birthday!

Huge thank you to all our staff that have committed to our company and quality objectives. Even though the last couple of years have been challenging (we all know why, Covid), we have retained all staff and still manage the “occasional” breakfast sandwich.

The remainder of the year looks incredibly packed with projects restarting and next year looks phenomenal. Already we have the all clear on Nuclear, Defence, Oil and Gas and Aerospace projects….. we also have new kit on the horizons to bolster our current services to keep up with demand.

We are very pleased to announce the retention of our BS EN ISO 9001 and AS9100 certification.

The standards are incorporated into our business alongside our UKAS ISO 17025 accreditation - meaning we are one of only a handful of companies, across the UK, that hold ISO9001, AS9100D and ISO17025.

Since 2015 Fluoro-Tech Limited have provided an outstanding quality service, globally recognised and award winning.
