This two storey extension required a downsize of the existing garage so after mapping out we cut through the existing floor, dug footings required, poured and started blocking up. We also erected a single storey face and blockwork wall to the rear of the property to take a new smaller pitched roof.

Padstones were laid and steels set in place to enable us to carry on with blockwork and facework. We then installed trusses and got the living quarters covered in before starting the garage and hand cut roofs.

Trusses were then installed over the garage and covered in with the existing flat roof taken off, timbers renewed, ply lined and torch felted. The gable was then cladded with upvc tongue and groove with all fascias, soffits and guttering installed also.

We then fit all new windows into the extension aswell as a back door including trims.

A small block paving extension was required so edgings were laid, type 1 down, sand screeded and finally blocks with a heron bone pattern with an elongated internal edging. We also lifted the existing sunken part of the driveway and re-laid.

We were asked by a local landscaping company to come and lend a hand on a fairly large project they had just undertaken.

The extension of the driveway required new edgings installed all around the internal boundary and the monkey tree. Kerbstones were then installed inside the circle of edgings to frame the monkey tree and hold white granite stone which were laid at a later date by the customer.

A new soakaway was dug, installed and shingled with runs dug to lay new drainage to the existing downpipes.

We then mapped out the raised patio area and and laid to the desired height including a slope and a step before paving.

Two small walls were erected which we ran a small electrical conduit through the cavity and out the ends to take brick lights. white slab toppers were then laid (see next post with wall extension)

A Tegula block pathway was installed down the side of the property and all obstructions cut around

The patio area out the back was then completed by the other landscape company.

Just a small one.
The customer required a bigger opening to install bifold doors.
We removed the existing patio door and created a letterbox opening to install a flanged steel on new padstones. 450mm damp forming a cavity tray with weeper vents and facework followed and bifold door installed beneath

The old lean-to outside the dairy barn (previous post) was taken down with new footings dug and poured.
Blocks were then laid with a timber plate fixed to take the new timber wall and rafters. Then installed cladding to the walls and tyvec and corrugated sheeting on the roof.
We then clad an unsightly wall and installed a little bench topped with old scaffold boards as requested, build some steps outside the door with slab toppers and build a door to hang at the entrance.

We were asked to turn this old dairy barn into a usable space so first things first we gutted it, stripped the roof off, replaced some rotten rafters and got it covered in. There was an old ventilation box on the top of the roof which was no longer required but the customer asked us to rebuild it to keep the old look of the building so we did so and cladded it.
We then bricked up an old door opening and fitted a door with sidelight in the old cattle door leading to the old lean-to. The bricks would then be lime pointed to match existing.
inside we housewrapped to stop any moisture coming through the single skin, lime laid walls before studding the walls out to insulate and board.
Joist 'flats' were bolted halfway up the rafters to create storage in the roofspace, insulated and boarded and a loft hatch created.
The whole barn had a total re-wire and plumbing installed.
The barn was then left at a pre-plaster and pre-screed state for other tradesmen.

Here we installed a butt-slab patio as requested to the front and the back of the property with side path access along with a French drain system to the rear patio.
we also extended the small garden wall to retain earth and edge the slabs.
Two block paviour areas to the left and the right of the existing driveway were added aswell as a retaining wall at the entrance to the property in a 'flemish' bond.
To finish a stepped panel fence was erected with concrete posts and gravel boards

These customers asked us to remove the steps and create a seating area below and remove the hardscape on the top part of the garden.
We dug back and poured the footing to install a retaining wall, reinforced with bar and filled with concrete. Later to be rendered.
on the lower part we installed an Aco drain and infilled the patio slabs to butt the new walls.
We then re purposed the slabs from the top hardscaped area and laid to create the slope, lower platform, top path and the toppers on the wall.
We then installed composite posts, railings and spindles and finished the posts with caps.
To finish the top area we levelled topsoil and laid turf.

Here we created a shuttering for a concrete pour wall with re-inforced bar for future render and engineer brick toppers.
We also laid a concrete slab with reinforced mesh for a solid, vehicle accessible base and laid bricks for installation of a cart lodge.
taking 120tonne of soil out to level off the driveway then required retaining walls which we faced with bricks to match the cart lodge courses and engineer toppers. sleepers were also installed.
Existing waste pipe through the drive was encased with concrete then the whole driveway had type1 installed, weedproof membrane and topped with 10mm peashingle to finish
