This is a big one. When it comes to building, if a quote sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

Nowadays, it seems like every roofing supplier or handyman has suddenly become a “construction company” overnight. The problem? Many of them haven’t done the years of learning, training, or hands-on experience it takes to manage a proper building project. Just because someone can tile a roof or put up a shed doesn’t mean they should be building your extension.

At AMT Construction Ltd, we’re very reasonably priced—but we also take pride in doing things properly. Reputable, experienced builders aren’t ever the cheapest, because we price for quality work that lasts. We don’t cut corners, and we don’t leave clients with costly mistakes to fix later on.

How to avoid this trap:
✅ Compare quotes carefully—look at the detail, not just the number
✅ Ask what’s included (and what’s not)
✅ Look for proven experience, not just a low price
