Part 2. Onto qualifying. After a dry day Friday then a full dry two hour practice Sunday the worst thing happened…. It rained before qualifying…. I’ll add I hate the wet!! Driving in front of the judges is where it all falls apart for me and I was feeling super confident for a change before it rained. Now with the added pressure of a wet track I lined up for my sighting lap and instead of going flat out I gingerly headed to the first clip and still almost span…. Nightmare! It proper knocked my confidence I won’t lie! So I headed out for my first qualifying lap….. it wasn’t my best run but I got all the clips, was on a good line, didn’t spin and didn’t make any big mistakes so I was buzzing!!!! Please see the start of my second qualifying lap 😂😂😂 second run was starting to get patchy as it was about 15-20mins after my first run. I actually did a better job until I got caught out on a dry patch and the car bogged down and I wasn’t quick enough with a clutch kick. So I walked away with an 82.3 which put me in 7th. Proper chuffed with that and felt I managed to get a grip on my nerves. Big accomplishment in my book. 😎👌

So round 2 of , Friday practice was ace! Had a few scratchy runs trying different things but it seemed to click pretty quick. I’m trying to be more aggressive in my lead and chase which I think was coming together. left foot braking also became super natural this weekend to not sure why that’s just clicked, like I stopped thinking about it and it just happens now in the right places to 😂👌. Car felt good, got up to Scotland the day before so I was well rested, weather was dry which was nice! Lol. So basically I was a happy boy! Things started to feel like they were falling into place and I’m driving how I want to drive! Plus the little golf was on a ripper, first time Iv not struggled getting on a door without cutting track. 😎👌 part two to come. Big thanks to all my amazing sponsors

So went up to Teesside for the public bank holiday drift day today. To say it’s the hottest Iv ever been in my car and in the pits is an understatement. The track was that gripped up I went out on 15psi which is my normal go to pressure, snapped a shaft and it was impossible to drive. Went up to 20psi snapped another one. With no spares left I upped them to 30… 😂 and still felt gripped up and a handful…! I was getting 3-4 laps to a set of tyres and did 10 sets, don’t think me or the car could have done anymore. Think these were my first few laps this morning and without any judges watching they were pretty good and not to far off the qualifying line 😂😂 was nice to try a few different things I wouldn’t normally try in comp to. All in all a successful test day 😎👌 other than two snapped shafts and a lot of cooling down the car was faultless, all down to great parts! Go give these guys a follow!⬇️

Nice evening at for cars in the valley. Had a meeting with someone about some YouTube videos… will announce more in a later date. Had a lovely evening except for the male Karen who told me I had to move as I was n the way so I offered to let him out, turns out he wasn’t going anywhere and I wasn’t in the way… 🙄 now time to get ready for show on Sunday then a practice day with some mates at Teesside on Monday… next week I’m at two weeks after I’m at drift land, busy busy busy 😎👌

Round one, So the weekend started at Bolesworth castle for shedfest with then finished there and flew over to 3 sisters and set up ready for the big day Sunday. Car ran fine on Saturday other then shutting off mid run as the idle was to low, so Sunday morning I adjusted it on the throttle cable. Practice went fine other then a wet track but felt like I got to grips with it after a stern talking to from 😂 and help on the bank from . Went into qualifying nervous as hell. Nothing unusual I struggle with this a lot! First qualifying lap was terrible! Second lap much better but still not my best. Ended up 16th which isn’t bad but far from where I want to be. Then I made a rookie mistake, 😂 I knew I was against Michael Bennett but i assumed he was in his 2jz e46 so I set my car to maximum attack…… I didn’t see he was in a e36 v8 (260-280hp) on a road tyre until I was in the starting grid. 😂😂😂 had a scrappy lead and a scrappy chase as I was struggling so much to keep it sideways. Luckily I got the win. And at this point I’ll take it. Next battle Stefan… well going back to my car shutting off, it had been fine all day. But for some reason I found my self on the wand for ages on the initiation and my car just died…. I was gutted as I was planning on giving it everything. so now I know I’m on a 10-0 and the battle is done and the pressure is off I go and do a great lead run….. 🤯 ffs 😂😂 I really feel like my driving has come on so much in the last 3 years of driving in drift league but I still struggle with nerves and do stupid stuff to knock myself out of comp. It’s so frustrating but Iv just ordered a pallet of tyres so I can smash as many laps on the practice day in Scotland as I can, i want it to be second nature by the time I go for qualifying then I’m going to ignore I’m at driftleague and try to just have fun! See if that works oppose to piling the pressure on my self. Funny as I do love competition I just need to get my head straight and I think me and the golf could do well 🙄😂😂 Thank you for the livestream.
