McMenon has supplied two Venturi Flow Meters for the Puna Repower project.

Each unit is a 16" machined Venturi tube manufactured in carbon steel, engineered for reliable measurement of geothermal steam containing 99.8% steam and 0.2% CO₂.

To meet the project requirements, both Venturi Flow Meters underwent laboratory calibration and were finished with a specialised high-performance coating system:
• Primer: SIGMAZINC™ 158
• Topcoat: SIGMATHERM 540 — a heat-resistant silicone-based coating designed for demanding thermal environments.

Venturi meters continue to be a trusted choice in geothermal and energy applications, offering:

DN40 Or***ce Meter Run - Engineered for Tough Duty

Another precision-engineered Or***ce Meter Run has successfully left the McMenon factory.
This DN40 concentric square-edged or***ce with corner taps is mounted on a Schedule XS metering pipe and fitted with ASME Class 150/300 flanges, designed to deliver reliable, repeatable differential-pressure measurement in demanding process environments.

Finished with a bespoke C5 coating system, this unit is built to withstand corrosive, high-humidity and offshore-influenced conditions where standard coatings simply don’t last.

McMenon recently delivered a 16-inch machined Venturi Meter for a renewable geothermal project in the United States.

Manufactured in carbon steel, this meter is designed to perform in high-pressure, high-temperature environments typical of geothermal steam systems.

Supplied as part of the Puna Repower Project, the Venturi meter will provide accurate and reliable steam flow measurement, supporting efficient, low-carbon power generation and reinforcing McMenon’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
