The Mini recently attended its first show at Front of House Place, and it was great to see the owner showing off all the hard work that’s gone into the build. Some fantastic photos were taken of the car and it’s always good to see a project being enjoyed.

Another custom piece finished off yesterday 🔥

Built from an old gas bottle and turned into a fully functional log burner with a custom wrap-around grill shelf and flue setup.

Perfect for garden bars, patios, workshops or outdoor seating areas. The grill shelf throws out loads of heat and doubles up as a warming rack too 👌

We always offer painting and finishing options on builds like this, but a lot of customers prefer doing that final personal touch themselves to match their own setup 🎨🔥

Absolutely love how this one came out with the rustic timber backdrop 🪵

🔥 PROJECT COMPLETE 🔥

This Mini has now been fully transformed into a completely different machine — built with a full off-road inspired style and custom fabrication throughout.

Every detail has been crafted by NA Steel Work, including:

– Front bumper & integrated light setup
– Rear bumper with built-in lighting
– Rear carrier system
– Side bars
– Roof rack
– Stainless exhaust system
– Custom rolled arches to suit the wider stance

The customer supplied the suspension, wheels, and lighting — everything else has been designed, fabricated, and fitted to bring the whole build together as one cohesive package.

This project had already been refused by around 6–7 fabricators before coming to us due to the complexity of the work. We saw the challenge ahead, and more importantly, the end result it could become — and were excited to get started and bring it to life.

The vehicle has now been fully painted and finished to complement the fabrication work and complete the overall look.

This build will be on display at Mini National Day on Sunday 30th August, alongside the owner — a great opportunity to see it in person.

Bit of a different one this 👀

Just finished up some custom brackets for a Transit Connect that’s had a Focus RS engine swapped into it 😮‍🔥
These were made to securely mount the wiper unit in place as part of the build.

He’s got a few small jobs left to finish off, but it’s nearly there and ready to hit the road and start putting in work for his detailing business 💪

Also—quick one from me… I know I don’t post on here anywhere near as much as I should. That’s completely on me 🤦‍♂️
Truth is, I get that stuck into the work I often forget to take photos along the way. Something I’m making more effort with going forward, because there’s a lot I don’t show that I should.

Today we repaired a set of 3 alloys for a customer, welding a total of 7 cracks across the wheels.

These wheels had previously been welded elsewhere, but on our clean-up and inspection stage we found contamination in the welds, including tungsten inclusions and areas where full pe*******on had not been achieved.

We re-prepared all affected areas properly, carried out full crack repairs, and re-welded to ensure strength and integrity throughout.

Our goal is always to make repairs safe, reliable, and long-lasting so the customer can get plenty more use out of their wheels. However, based on inspection, we do feel that one of the wheels may be beyond economical repair and could require replacement for full safety assurance.

Chassis repair on this old smiley van 🔧

She was proper rotten underneath… but nothing a bit of cutting, fabrication and welding couldn’t sort. Cut out all the bad, rebuilt the structure, and got her solid again.

Now she’s back on the road and through her MOT 💪

I’m looking for usable scrap metal to turn into custom metal art and sculptures — this is not scrap collection and I’m not a scrap dealer.

If you’ve got any of the following lying around, I’d love to use it:

⚙️ Springs
⚙️ Brake discs & drums
⚙️ Cogs & gears
⚙️ Clutches
⚙️ Engine internals (pistons, rods, valves, camshafts, etc)
⚙️ Chains, bearings, old tools
⚙️ Gas bottles & air-compressor tanks
⚙️ Alloy parts & alloy wheels

Old, broken or rusty is fine — as long as it’s still usable for artwork.

I can collect locally or meet up. If it’s just sitting in the way, I’ll happily give it a new life as something worth keeping.
