☀️ Thinking about solar, battery storage or a heat pump? There’s a new way to spread the cost.

The government’s Warm Homes Loan Scheme has launched, offering reduced-interest loans through participating lenders for eligible home energy upgrades.

☀️ GB Solar customers
Finance could help spread the cost of solar panels and battery storage — helping you generate your own electricity and store energy for when you need it.

🏡 WarmGB customers
Finance can be combined with an eligible Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant towards an air source heat pump:
✅ £7,500 standard grant
✅ £9,000 for eligible homes replacing oil or LPG heating with no mains gas connection, until 31 March 2027.

The loan can help cover the remaining installation cost, subject to the lender’s borrowing limits and approval.

A snapshot of it all! 📸

This guys, is a 7.84kWp system featuring x16 490w Aiko panels and a Tesla Powerwall 3. Installed and commissioned by our wonderful GB Solar Team in the outskirts of Worksop.

This system is going to reduce our clients bill by 115%, produce more electricity than the homes usage (143% to be precise!) and give the home owner 81% grid independence.

What more could you ask for?!

It's that time again! 🎅

Christmas is just 11 weeks away, which means GB Solar are putting their festive hats on and joining the Fthc Christmas Present Appeal 2026.

Last year, GB Solar, 7 Core Electrical Wholesale Ltd - Worksop and our amazing customers and community were able to donate 122 presents to the appeal, meaning children from our local area could wake up to presents that they may not have ordinarily received.

This year we want to do EVEN MORE!

Lets kick our week off with a review that we can all be proud of!

We were so pleased to have worked with Mr & Mrs Bell to install their Solar PV & Battery system - a system that is going to generate DOUBLE the home's electricity usage! ⚡

This family can expect to almost eradicate their electricity bill, giving them savings of approximately £835 per year. What could be better as we come into such uncertainty with the energy bill cap...

Today is the GB Solar teams annual trip to the NEC for Solar & Storage Live....

(Ok, this picture was last years, but we promise to get lots of snaps today too!)

We are looking forward to meeting suppliers & manufacturers both existing and new, as well as learning lots about what's coming ahead for our exciting industry!

How amazing is this review? It's certainly put a smile on our face this morning! 😎

This customer was a pleasure to work for, and we are predicting big things for their new PV & Powerwall system: 5.88kWp Solar, 11.04kW inverter and 13.5kWh of battery storage.

This system will far surpass the homes yearly electricity usage, with PV generation producing 147% energy from solar. This will allow our client to export or store their surplus electricity and give them 84% grid independence. We calculate annual savings of approximately £904 from their electricity bills too!

Installed, commissioned and handed over by our electricians within 2 days.
