This is how we made a double Gothic arch from start to finish. I took dimensions from a site survey and created a full set of working drawings in AutoCAD. I have included the full production with the exception of the sawing. The timer on the screen shows 12 hours of work, but I know there is some footage missing from when the GoPro battery ran out on a few occasions. Our stone mason uses a combination of power tools and hand tools. Power tools are used to remove waste as efficiently as possible, and a mallet and chisel are used for fine detail as they are still the best tools for the job.

Something a bit different for us this week. We were asked to make this little headstone to match one in a Church yard in Cheshire. It is handmade from British sandstone and hasn't been shipped from the other side of the world like 99% of modern memorials in local cemeteries. Improve our carbon footprint, buy local materials.
