Fort Victoria Model Railway

Contrary to popular rumour the Model Railway has not yet been sold buut we have not been idle over the winter. Once this virus has been seen off, and we are permitted to be open to the public again, we will be open on restricted hours. We will aim to be open from Fridays to Mondays. Hours to be confirmed. Volunteers would be most welcome. Thank you for your interest and patience.

The model railway is on holiday at the momet as we have some prospective purchasers! We will open on 18th November then it will be Friday to Monday hours about 11.00 - 3.00. Trains may be running and the shop will be open to sell the remaining stock we have. If prospective purchasers drop out then the railway will be broken up and we will be closed down by Christmas 😣

The Model Railway and shop will be opening for its summer season on Saturday 8th April. Open daily but closed on a Thursday unless the weather is wet - when it will be open! Phone to confirm. Hours of opening are 10.45 to last entries at 4.00 with closing at 4.30. We regret to inform you that unless we can find a new buyer this will be our final season. Thank you for all your support over the past fourteen years.

Currently we are not running the trains at any set times but the shop will be open at the weekends. Please phone to avoid disappointment, 01983 298814. The railway is on the market and we would welcome any genuine enquirers with a view to purchasing, owing to ill health. If the business is not sold this could be the final season for the model railway and shop. The railway will be shut for one day on 26th January.

Hello everyone! We have our Go Fund Me page set up and ready to go!
We are beginning to start work on developing the railway and need your help!
Any donations to the railway would be much appreciated. We would love to start making some serious improvements for all of you to enjoy!

The railway and shop is open from 11.00 to 3.00 during the Christmas period, our dates and times of opening are on our website, or you can phone us to ensure you are not disappointed. If you are an Island resident and are interested in modelling why not have a chat with one of our operatives. We can also be found on our 'go fund me' page as we are endeavouring to raise some money to improve and alter the layouts which is not a cheap operation! We would also like to re-arrange the shop to carry more accessories - and locos.

So the Model Railway is quite possibly one of the 'coolest' places on the island right now - literally! ❄️☀️

Tucked away in the shade of Fort Victoria, the railway is a great way to spend some time out of the sun!
