✨ Another smashing job completed by CGH Plumbing & Heating!

We removed the existing toilet, radiator and basin and replaced them with a much more modern setup, including this lovely brushed brass radiator with matching taps and flush button. 🔥✨

The brushed brass finishes tie everything together beautifully, giving the room a seamless, modern look, while the new layout makes this small space feel so much bigger and more open.

We also left the boxing on the left ready for the customer’s son, who is a carpenter, to work his magic with some fancy panelling to put the finishing touches to the bathroom. 👌🪚

While we were at the property, the customer also asked us to carry out a boiler service — always happy to help with any extra plumbing or heating work while we’re there! 🔧🔥

Another very happy customer and another job completed to the highest standard.

🚿 Another shower room transformation completed! 🔧

This one was a proper strip-back and rebuild after we found some seriously poor work from a previous installation.

The existing shower tray had been installed over a massive gap between the joists, with cheap, thin non-waterproof chipboard being used to support the tray. The result was a shower tray that would bounce and flex when stood on — definitely not something you want underneath a shower!

We stripped everything back, removed the inadequate flooring and support, and got to work properly strengthening the joists and floor structure. We then installed the correct amount of support and created a solid, properly supported base for the new shower tray to sit on.

From there we fitted:
🔹 New shower tray
🔹 New shower
🔹 New tile-effect waterproof wall panelling
🔹 New chrome shower screen
🔹 Strengthened joists and flooring
🔹 Everything fully sealed and finished properly

The end result is a solid, secure and completely transformed shower area — no more bouncing tray and no more cutting corners!

Another job where doing it properly from the start makes all the difference. 👌

🔧 Another radiator saved by CGH Plumbing!
We were called out to a job after hearing about a radiator that had ripped completely off the wall. 😳

Unfortunately, the radiator had originally been installed onto a plasterboard wall without the correct fixings, meaning there was nothing substantial behind the plasterboard to properly support the weight of the radiator.

To put it right, we had to strip the area back and do the job properly:

🛠️ Remove the damaged plasterboard
🛠️ Install correctly positioned and suitable fixings
🛠️ Rework and reroute the pipework beneath the floor
🛠️ Reboard and plaster the damaged wall
🛠️ Reinstall and securely hang the radiator
🛠️ Test everything and make sure it was safe and secure

It’s a good reminder that the right fixings and correct installation matter, especially when hanging heavy radiators onto plasterboard.

Another bathroom transformation completed by CGH Plumbing & Heating.

We took this tired, dated bathroom from plain white tiles to a much more modern and stylish finish. 👌

The job included:

🔹 Full marble-effect wall panels
🔹 Victorian-style patterned panels to the shower area
🔹 New 700mm x 800mm shower tray
🔹 New thermostatic shower, replacing the old electric shower
🔹 New grey vanity unit and basin
🔹 New modern black trims and finishing touches
🔹 Full reseal throughout for a clean, watertight finish

The marble panels and Victorian-style shower area have completely changed the look of the room, giving it a much more modern and luxurious feel while still keeping it practical. 😍

Another job completed to a high standard, with all the finishing and sealing taken care of properly.

We’ve recently been out to two properties in Ivybridge to deal with old gas pipework left behind from fireplaces that were no longer being used.

The customers were carrying out some work to their homes, including having new carpets fitted, so we removed/capped the redundant gas pipework properly and left everything neat, tidy and ready for the next stage of their work. 👌

It’s always worth getting old or redundant pipework dealt with properly rather than simply leaving it buried under flooring or carpets — especially when you’re carrying out other work in the area.

Another couple of jobs completed and customers left happy! ✅

We were recently called out to investigate a boiler that had developed a leak, despite being less than 2 years old.

After carrying out our checks, we identified that the leak was being caused by an internal component fault, rather than an issue with the pipework or external installation.

Although the original installation had been completed by another company, we were happy to diagnose the problem and arrange a manufacturer’s warranty call-out, ensuring the customer received the repair they were entitled to without unnecessary costs.

✅ Warranty claim arranged
✅ Customer saved from paying for a repair that was covered
