It's good to get your boiler serviced every year so that any issues can be rectified before they impact the boilers efficiency or lifespan. For example, if this lower baffle plate is left, it could degrade and block the burner or even distort and crack the boiler internals. Replacement ordered!

Unfortunately it was a double whammy for this customer. Both their circulating pump and 3 port valve actuator had failed. They are on a budget so a cheaper pump was fitted instead of a Grundfos, but I've not had any issues with this brand over the years. Valve actuator replaced and all up and running again.

This new customer had their boiler serviced just over 12 months ago. Unfortunately the engineer had failed to replace the flexible oil hose, which is an annual replacement item. Luckily, this hose was only just starting to perish and hadn't yet leaked into the property. New hose now fitted and date stamped ready for a hassle free year of heating and hot water. This heatwave is fantastic for BBQs and beach trips, unfortunately it's not so great for old single skin plastic tanks. This customers tank has split open below the oil level. CD14 notice issued and soap applied to the crack to prevent further oil spill until the tank engineer can remove the contents. This was a new customer and my regular inspections would have prevented this before an environmental disaster. Call 07934882823 to book in a free tank inspection with every boiler service!
