From regional winner to BTX Learner champion 🥇 Tommy won the BTX Painting & Decorating Regional Competition earlier this year before going on to triumph at the national finals — an incredible achievement!

Congratulations on winning both the BTX Painting & Decorating Regional Competition and the National Title, Tommy. Everyone at Jones is incredibly proud of you ⭐

Our Yeovil head office has recently collaborated with multiple housing providers to deliver a successful kerbside collection initiative at the Wyndham Park Estate in Yeovil.
Following consultation with our framework partners who manage homes within the estate, we identified an opportunity to enhance the local environment and support residents through a practical, community-focused initiative.
We were delighted to host a community “Dump Day” as part of our ongoing Social Value commitment on a current Jones Building Group project.
The day provided residents with a safe and responsible way to dispose of unwanted household waste, helping to improve the appearance of the area while bringing the community together. It was great to see so many residents getting involved — whether stopping by for a chat or lending a helping hand.
A special mention goes to our operative, Ozzy, who went above and beyond on the day — supporting residents and ensuring the area was left clean and tidy. Your hard work and positive attitude made a real difference.

Social value initiatives continue at Jones Building Group. This week, we are reflecting on the positive impact delivered in partnership with Magna Housing.
Following the completion of a range of works with Magna Housing, we recently engaged with customers in Porlock to identify meaningful and lasting social value opportunities. Together, we agreed to deliver an initiative that would provide practical, long-term benefits to the community.
In partnership with our Health & Safety consultants SHEQServices, Jones Building Group delivered an Emergency First Aid training course for local residents at Healeys Community Hall in Porlock. We were delighted by the strong turnout and level of engagement from attendees throughout the day.
Participants gained essential first aid knowledge and skills, including how to assess and monitor a casualty, where to seek help, and how to operate a defibrillator.
We are proud to have provided a valuable learning experience that could make a real difference in the future, equipping individuals with the confidence and skills to respond effectively in an emergency.
