Continuing on from my previous post…

The essence & concept behind this design is all about family life, to create an environment that brings a feeling of joy, a home that is both practical & aesthetically pleasing.

In order to completely change the feel of the space, we looked to Oak it’s natural warmth, figure, strength & sustainability, adding character through those detail custom touches . From the niches to the slimline cladding, the full height cupboard doors & their offset purpose made handles.

The Crittall styled room divider produced from hardwood then ebonised ( stained black followed by a satin lacquer) allows light to pass through the room while having a soft partition.

A drinks cabinet with its ebonised glazed pocket doors that return snuggly into the cabinet housing once opened.
The quartz work surface, concealed lighting with the essential wine cooler all add to its charm.

The floating desk area comprises of a leather lined drawer & handcut dovetails, floating shelves housed into a reeded panel, concealed lighting provides that little extra touch of character.

From concept to completion all is lovingly produced from raw sustainable materials at my workshop.

Transforming the 1930s period house into a homely livable family space where people can relax unwind & gather together for those meaningful moments was the essence of the brief.
The design consists of
clean streamlined aesthetics, bespoke detailing at every turn, utilising the valuable limited space for those everyday storage & living necessities.
