💥The first PC220LCi-12 excavator has been ordered for the UK market – many thanks to Tim Atkin, Director at TJAtkin Ltd. 💥

First presented by Komatsu Europe at the recent bauma exhibition, these machines are being hailed as the most advanced excavators ever designed! They come with factory fitted machine control – the PC220LCi-12 being the first in the UK to feature the next gen iMC 3.0 which has a whole host of unique features designed to ensure an uncompromised return on investment.

Having used Komatsu iMC machines for 7 years now, Tim wanted to be the first to experience this new, factory integrated, next generation of machine control.

TJ Atkin Ltd started by offering 2D automated machine control. The business then grew, and it became clear the next step was a GPS automated excavator and Komatsu were the obvious choice.

Due to continued expansion and exciting new projects on the horizon, we currently have a vacancy for an experienced Site Engineer to join our growing team.

At T J Atkin Ltd we pride ourselves on providing high quality, complete construction solutions to industrial, commercial, and agricultural clients throughout Yorkshire. Using our own in-house team alongside specialist subcontractors, we handle projects of various scale, from the initial concept/design creation, through the complete construction process to deliver our clients a completed project.

T J Atkin Ltd are committed to providing all clients with a high standard of workmanship while following all required health and safety standards. Therefore, our successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate the necessary knowledge, enthusiasm, skills and diligence to be able to lead a team capable of delivering completed projects safely and to the highest level, enhancing our reputation and providing a positive reflection of the company.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Maintain and interpret site drawings, rebar drawings, and rebar schedules, and all construction drawings to a high level.
- Be able to use robotic instruments, GPS instruments, lasers, levels etc.
- Setting out from the contract drawings/information.
- Carrying out topographical surveys.
- Ensure works are carried out as per the contract drawings and specifications.
- Maintain records, site diary, quality assurance documentation, reports, and records.
- Provide clear as-built information.
- Be a point of contact for clients and sub-contractors to maintain and assist with the progressions of works and carry out any inspections required on behalf of multiple stakeholders within the project.
- Assist with inputting information/durations to programme of works.
- Ability to use AutoCAD.

Desired Skills
- Leadership and management skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Previous experience with managing subcontractors and suppliers.
- High level of industry knowledge, Health & Safety regulations, best practices and protocols.
- Experience working with 3D Cad Software.
- Experience with machine control systems.

Qualifications
- HND/HNC in Construction - Minimum
- Degree or Professional Qualification - Preferred

License/Certification
- CSCS Card - Minimum
- SSSTS - SMSTS - Preferred

Schedule
- Mainly Monday to Friday, although planned occasional evening and weekend work may be necessary.
- Planned working away across UK; Travel, hotel and night away bonus paid.

In this critical position as a Construction Site Manager for TJAtkin LTD you will be responsible for ensuring every project operates smoothly and is delivered efficiently. Your key responsibilities will include site preparation, health & safety, leading a team, managing site labour, following a program of works, interacting with clients.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a Site Management role. You must have the ability to motivate and lead a team, be highly organised, able to plan and prioritise, and have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

We expect all our team members to have a strong work ethic, be reliable and demonstrate good time management skills.
Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, best practices and protocols are essential.
