Project Spotlight: Dovecote House, Manchester

ITP supported the delivery of a £21m, nine-storey residential development at Laystall Street in Manchester, supplying our Powerclad FR Debris Netting to help ensure safety and performance on site.

Delivered in partnership with developer Great Places Housing Group, the scheme is being constructed by Eric Wright Group, bringing 89 much-needed homes to the city centre through a mix of Rent to Buy and Social Rent.

Given the busy, high-footfall location, effective containment and safety were critical. Forming part of a scaffold solution delivered by specialist contractors Crossway Scaffolding Group and Talk Event Netting Ltd, our Powerclad FR Debris Netting was installed to provide air-permeable protection while safeguarding surrounding roads and pedestrians.

With certified flame retardancy and certification labelling stitched into every roll, Powerclad FR offers contractors confidence in compliance, particularly on safety-critical, high-value urban developments like this.

Projects like Dovecote House highlight the importance of combining safety, quality, and clarity in compliance across the supply chain to deliver successful outcomes in complex city centre environments.

DCE Fire Prevention & Protection CPD Webinar:

Euroclass A1 & A2 Fire Rated Façade Membranes – Enhancing Fire and Weather Protection for Façade Design

This informative session will take a closer look at the role façade membranes play in modern buildings, with reference to lessons learned from Grenfell Tower and the increasing emphasis on compliance, rigorous testing, and accurate specification.
Presented by Alex Flokkas, Specification Manager UK at Stamisol UK, key topics will include:

✔️ An overview of different membrane types
✔️ Understanding Euroclass A1/W2 vs A2/W1 classifications
✔️ Why independent testing and certification matter
✔️ The role of A1 and A2 membranes in facade projects
✔️ Managing the effects of wind-driven rain and moisture in high-rise structures

Attendees will gain practical insight into specifying effective façade solutions that balance fire performance with long-term durability against the elements. This session is particularly beneficial for architects, specifiers, and construction professionals aiming to stay compliant and informed in a rapidly evolving regulatory environment.

ITP is the UK supplier of Stamisol A1—recognised as a leading Class A1 solution for closed façades—and Stamisol Safe One, the UK’s first breather membrane achieving a Class A2-s1,d0 rating under the Euroclass system alongside W1 water resistance.

Yesterday, our Managing Director, Carl Morse, attended the inaugural launch of the Yorkshire Regional Defence and Security Cluster (YRDSC).

Bringing together around 200 businesses from across the region, the event highlighted the significant opportunities for SMEs to engage with the defence and security sector while helping to strengthen the UK's national resilience.

The programme featured a series of insightful presentations and thought-provoking panel discussions, exploring Yorkshire's rich industrial and engineering heritage, the region's growing role in defence innovation, and the power of collaboration in creating new opportunities across the sector.

We were particularly encouraged by the strong emphasis on partnership, innovation, and regional growth. With the Mayors of West Yorkshire and Hull & East Yorkshire opening the event, there was a clear message about the importance of the defence and security sector to Yorkshire's future prosperity and resilience.

We're proud to support this important regional initiative and look forward to working alongside fellow businesses, organisations, and stakeholders as these conversations continue and new opportunities emerge.

It’s here.

Today, we’re proud to officially launch Powerbase Gas NF, our brand-new, industry-developed non-foil gas membrane.

Developed through extensive testing, innovation, and collaboration, Powerbase Gas NF represents the next generation of ground gas and damp proofing solutions.

As the industry evolves, modern approaches are moving away from traditional foil-encapsulated membranes and aluminium tapes. Powerbase Gas NF has been specifically designed to support that shift, delivering a high-performance non-foil alternative backed by compliance, testing, and practical installation advantages.

✅ Tested against methane, radon & CO₂
✅ CE certified to EN 13967 Flexible Sheets for Waterproofing
✅ Compliant with BS 8485:2015 + A1:2019
✅ Compliant with NHBC NF94 guidance for non-foil membranes

Why choose Powerbase Gas NF?

• Non-foil technology removes the risks associated with foil corrosion and delamination
• Improved durability in concrete applications
• Resistant to alkaline attack from wet concrete or screed if damaged during installation
• Reduced risk of membrane failure compared to conventional foil membranes

This is more than a product launch, it’s a step forward for the industry.

This World Environment Day, the global focus is clear: climate action and the urgent need to rethink the systems that power our economies and industries.

For the construction sector, that means moving beyond conversations and embedding circularity into the supply chain, from material selection and manufacturing to reuse, recovery and responsible end-of-life management.
Construction remains one of the world’s largest generators of waste, but it also has one of the greatest opportunities to drive meaningful change. Eliminating avoidable landfill waste is both an environmental objective and a business imperative.

At ITP, we recognise that sustainable products must be matched with sustainable aftercare. That’s why our Zero to Landfill programme for end-of-life scaffold sheeting helps clients return used materials for repurposing, remanufacturing or energy recovery, ensuring waste is diverted from landfill while supporting carbon reduction across the supply chain.

As World Environment Day 2026 highlights the need for faster, more practical climate action, collaboration across the construction industry will be essential. By designing waste out of the process and embracing circular solutions, we can reduce environmental impact while building a more resilient future.
