u'll have a brand new looking house! We are currently arranging appointments to anyone that is interested in having External Wall Insulation carried out on their property. Below I have detailed information about the Green Deal Plan. Green Deal is a way customers can finance making improvements to their home to increase the energy efficiency. Based on the expected savings on their energy bill customers are able to take out a loan to install energy efficient measures as long as the total loan repayments per annum do not exceed the savings on their electricity bill per annum. What is unique about Green Deal is that the loan is paid back through the customer’s electricity bill and if they sell the property in the future the loan will transfer to the new owner. How will customers benefit from the Green Deal? The Green Deal enables customers to transform their properties energy efficiency, usually without having to pay for the work upfront. The scheme is set up in a way that means that any energy saving measures customers have fitted to their home under the Green Deal are effectively self-funding, paying for themselves through the savings they generate on the energy bill. What measures can be installed under the green deal? There are currently over 40 different energy saving measures that can be funded by the Green Deal. These range from loft, wall and floor insulation to new boilers, solar panels, and solar water heaters. All products need to be BBA certified. The Green Deal is available to just about everyone. The only thing they need to have in place for their property to qualify is an electricity meter and an account with an electricity supplier. The Green Deal is initially only available for domestic properties, however the scheme will be extended to cover commercial properties in the near future. What is the Golden Rule? The 'Golden Rule' is designed to ensure that once the customer takes up the Green Deal their energy bill will be the same than it was before, even after taking into account the repayments that are added on to your bill to pay the work you have had done. Once the green deal plan has ended, the customers should then start to see the savings on their electricity bill. How much money will customers save? The Green Deal is designed in such a way that your energy bill will be lower once you have had the work carried out. This saving will be small at first, but over time the amount of money you save on a month by month basis will grow if energy prices rise. Main points to remember
• The scheme is developed and promoted by the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC).
• Customers must have an EPC and a GDAR to be eligible for Green Deal Finance
• A customer cannot organise the Green Deal on their own and must go through an accredited Green Deal Provider (us) to get their GDAR completed and to apply for the funding.
• Green Deal Finance is a loan for Energy Efficiency improvements to be made to homes. It is paid back via the electricity bill.
• The size of funding available is based on the Golden Rule meaning the repayments cannot exceed the Annual Savings made on your electricity bill in year 1.
• Customers will be subject to a credit check (A soft credit check can be carried out)
• Repayments are made over the lifetime of the product (up to 25 years) via the Electricity bill.
• The loan remains with the property
• IT IS NOT FREE!!! Please contact us should you require any further information or to arrange an appointment.
