This week, GASO proudly celebrates Health and Safety Week- a time to reaffirm our commitment to protecting every life within our workplace.
Every task we perform, no matter how routine, carries a level of risk. Our
collective responsibility is to ensure that these risks are managed effectively so
that everyone returns home safely each day. Incident reduction is not just a
target, it is the bridge that connects our daily actions to a safer workplace, fewer
injuries, and a stronger, more respected company.
When incidents are reduced, injuries are prevented. This protects not only our physical well-being but
also our families, our livelihoods, and our peace of mind. At the same time, a strong safety record
enhances our company’s reputation, builds trust with stakeholders, and positions us as a responsible
and reliable organization.
Achieving this requires commitment from all of us:
Stay alert and follow procedures – Shortcuts may save time, but they increase risk.
Report hazards and near misses promptly – Every report is an opportunity to prevent a future
incident.
Use the right tools and PPE – Your safety gear is your last line of defense.
Look out for one another – Safety is a shared responsibility; speak up if something isn’t right.
Learn and improve continuously – Every incident or near miss is a lesson we must act on.
Let us remember, safety is not just a policy, it is a culture we build every day through our actions and
decisions. By prioritizing incident reduction, we are not only protecting lives but also strengthening
the integrity and reputation of our company.
Let’s commit to making safety a personal value and a daily habit.
Stay safe. Work safe. Protect lives.
