Happy World Ocean Day
Ocean pollution doesn't start at the shoreline, it starts on our streets.

Every piece of waste carelessly discarded on roads and in drains can be carried by rainwater into streams, rivers, and eventually the ocean. Along the way, it pollutes ecosystems, harms aquatic life, and threatens the health of our planet.

Protecting our oceans begins with responsible waste disposal in our communities. The choices we make on land have a direct impact on life below water.

Let's keep our streets clean, our drains clear, and our oceans free from pollution.

A high-level delegation from Jospong Group of Companies has paid a courtesy call on the management of Business & Financial Times (B&FT) to explore a comprehensive media partnership.

The partnership aims to tell Jospong’s environmental sustainability story and circular economy impact across Africa and beyond, while countering negative narratives and co-creating B&FT’s flagship events.

The engagement comes days ahead of the Environmental Sustainability Summit 2026, scheduled for June 16, 2026, which Jospong Group is considering sponsoring.

Jospong Group is proud to participate in the World Urban Forum 13 in Baku, Azerbaijan — a global platform driving conversations on sustainable urbanization, resilient cities, and affordable housing.

As Africa continues to urbanize rapidly, the demand for affordable housing must go hand in hand with proper sanitation, waste management, and environmental infrastructure.

Sustainable cities cannot be built without clean and healthy living environments.

At Jospong Group of Companies, we believe sanitation is a critical pillar of urban development, public health, and climate resilience.

WUF13 provides an important opportunity to contribute African-led perspectives and practical solutions to global discussions on:

• Affordable housing
• Sustainable urban development
• Circular economy and sanitation infrastructure
• Climate-resilient communities

We look forward to working with partners and stakeholders to shape the future of inclusive, sustainable cities.

Highlights: Day 3 of 4 at IFAT Munich 2026.

The Jospong Group of Companies signed an MoU with VYNCKE to manage residual waste and explore sustainable energy generation solutions.

This partnership supports efforts to reduce the volume of waste sent to landfill sites while creating opportunities for counties and communities facing energy challenges to benefit from alternative power solutions.

We also hosted a delegation from UNIDO - United Nations Industrial Development Organization ITPO Germany at our booth, where discussions focused on connecting African enterprises with waste management and recycling companies through collaboration, knowledge exchange, and practical circular economy solutions across continents.
