Job Requirements
• A degree in Civil Engineering or related field from a recognised institution
• Experience in successfully handling and supervising construction projects
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with relevant engineering software is a plus
• A certificate and experience in project management is a plus
Job Description
A successful applicant will;
• Supervise workers on site and at the workshop to ensure they deliver on time, on budget and to the desired specifications
• Ensure that workers observe proper work ethics and safety precautions at all times
• Ensure the proper operation, handling, delivery and maintenance of equipment at all times
• Assist with the design, budgeting and implementation of projects
• Create or review technical drawings, plans and models using appropriate software and/or other tools
• Ensure the technical and structural integrity of all projects
• Advise on all engineering tasks and requirements where needed
• Collaborate effectively with other team members and departments, contractors, clients and vendors
• Properly document and help generate progress reports on projects
