🏗️ Vyn Residential Project in Vega, Haninge – Stockholm
For the new 16-storey residential building featuring a Corten steel façade, JC6-D concrete screws in various lengths were used. They securely fasten the top-hat profiles through PIR insulation of varying thicknesses, forming the foundation for a durable and stable façade substructure.
One of the biggest challenges in this project was the wide range of insulation thicknesses, varying from 50 to 180 mm. Despite these differences, the JC6-D ensures precise and stable alignment of the top-hat profiles. To meet structural requirements, four screw lengths were used: 100 mm, 175 mm, 215 mm, and 255 mm.
In addition to the varying insulation thicknesses, the use of 1.5 mm thick Corten steel profiles in the façade substructure was another key factor in selecting the JC6-D concrete screw.
The JC6-D was specifically chosen to prevent corrosion between the steel profiles and the fastener, ensuring long-term compatibility and durability.
Corten steel façades require a particularly robust and reliable substructure. The JC6-D delivers high strength and excellent fastening stability — as also highlighted by the client:
"The screw demonstrated outstanding strength and fastening stability, ensuring robust and reliable installation of the top-hat profiles, even with varying insulation thicknesses."
Vyn is part of the sustainable urban development in Vega. The combination of high-quality façade materials and flexible fastening technology ensures a durable structure, in line with the requirements of the Svanen-certified building concept. 🌿
