The shoe manufacturer legero united has built its new headquarters in Feldkirchen near Graz Airport. The ring-shaped building is also called “UFO” because of its looks. Special attention was paid to sustainability in the wood-concrete construction. The EJOT CROSSFIX stainless steel substructure was used for the facade and thus also contributes to the energy efficiency of the building.

Here are three basics for a clean screw connection:
1. Use the Right Bit
👉 A properly fitting and undamaged bit ensures efficient power transmission. This prevents slipping and protects the screw head.
2. Start Straight
👉 The screw and drill bit should be positioned at a 90-degree angle to the surface, if possible. This protects the screw head, reduces wear on the component, and ensures a stable connection.
3. Control the Speed
👉 Start at a low speed, screw in steadily, and reduce the speed just before the end. This prevents the screw from being driven in too deeply or overtightened.
