The management of Gold Coast Refinery Ltd was pleased to welcome to the Refinery members of the Parliamentary Select Committee. The meeting aimed to familiarize Honorable Members with the refinery’s operations, facilities, processes, and procedures that drive value addition and create employment opportunities. The Committee also engaged in discussions on the successes achieved and the challenges impacting our operations.

The Committee reaffirmed its oversight responsibility to ensure that raw materials are processed locally to add value before export. Discussions also highlighted the refinery’s source of raw materials, operational activities, and contribution to job creation.

Members commended the refinery for its role in employment generation and operational excellence, while encouraging continuous growth and improved efficiency.

We were honored to host a delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) at Gold Coast Refinery Ltd to engage management on the company's operations and activities.
During the visit, the IMF team inquired about:
-Production capacity and output
- Off takers and key markets
-Sources and Origin of gold supplied to the refinery
-The total tonnage of gold refined so far
-The impact of the ongoing troubles in the Middle East on the operations and business outlook of GCR.

The discussion provided the IMF delegation with insight into the refinery'contribution to the Gold value chain and the broader economic landscape.
