We recently celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, which is a Chinese festival that honors the harvest, family reunions, and the brightest full moon of the year.

At Cardinal Namdini Mining Ltd, this celebration serves as more than just an event; it is an opportunity to unite our people, celebrate our cultural diversity, and strengthen the bonds that make us one team.

This year, colleagues from various departments and levels came together for an evening filled with food, music, games, and fellowship.

In his opening address, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Jinquan Wang, emphasised the significance of unity and togetherness in achieving our shared corporate goals.

He encouraged employees to continue demonstrating hard work, commitment, and dedication as we work toward building a stronger future together.

The celebration also highlighted that, although our Chinese colleagues may be thousands of miles from home, the CNML family in Ghana provides a supportive community of friendship and belonging.

At Cardinal Namdini Mining Ltd (CNML), we believe that investing in our people is one of the most important drivers of operational excellence, innovation, and sustainable growth.

As part of our commitment to employee development and global knowledge exchange, a five-member delegation comprising our CSR Manager, Financial Accountant, Assay Laboratory Senior Supervisor, Gold Room Senior Supervisor, and Senior Supervisor - Facilities & Site Services participated in a study tour to China.

The visit provided a unique opportunity to engage with colleagues and executives at Shandong Gold Group's headquarters in Jinan and experience firsthand the operational excellence of the Shandong Gold’s Guilaizhuang Gold Mine, a long-established mining operation with over three decades of industry experience.

Through interactions with senior leadership and site-based professionals, the team gained valuable insights into safety leadership, sustainable mining practices, workforce development, operational efficiency, and responsible corporate governance.

Beyond mining operations, the delegation visited the Xiaomi Automobile Manufacturing Plant in Beijing, where they observed advanced automation, digital technologies, robotics, and smart manufacturing systems. The experience reinforced the importance of innovation and continuous improvement in driving productivity, quality, and safety across industries.

A notable highlight of the visit was the opportunity to interact with Ghana's Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, whose visit coincided with the delegation's time at Shandong Gold Group. Discussions highlighted the growing opportunities within Ghana's mining sector, the importance of sustainable resource development, and the value of international partnerships in strengthening local technical capacity and advancing responsible mining.

The study tour also offered rich cultural exposure, enabling the team to gain a deeper appreciation of China's history, values, and development journey. These experiences strengthened cross-cultural understanding and reinforced the importance of collaboration, mutual respect, and strong relationships in today's global business environment.

The knowledge and experiences gained throughout the tour will contribute meaningfully to CNML's ongoing pursuit of world-class standards in safety, operational performance, sustainability, and people development. As we continue building a responsible and future-focused mining business, initiatives such as this play an important role in equipping our employees with global perspectives, fresh ideas, and practical insights that support long-term success.

𝗖𝗡𝗠𝗟 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁

Cardinal Namdini Mining Ltd. (CNML) recently hosted a Local Suppliers and Business Summit as part of its commitment to Ghana’s Local Content framework and its continued efforts to strengthen the capacity and participation of local businesses in the mining value chain.

The summit brought together local suppliers and businesses, financial institutions, insurance companies, and key CNML personnel. Approximately 𝟵𝟬% 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻, highlighting the CNML’s focus on creating opportunities for businesses within its host and surrounding communities.

The event was attended by key CNML representatives, including Vice President - Community and Social Responsibility, Mr. Qi Xuanya; Manager - Supply Chain Management, Mr. Justice Okoe-Martey; Superintendent - CSR, Mr. Maxwell Wooma; and Superintendent - Local Content and Grievance Management, Mr. Godwin Bade Daamir.

Participants received practical insights into three key areas:

Speaking at the event, Vice President - Community and Social Responsibility, Mr. Qi Xuanya, emphasised that CNML sees local content as more than a regulatory requirement. He described it as an opportunity to strengthen Ghanaian businesses, create employment, build local capacity, and retain greater value within the local economy.

He encouraged local businesses to engage more closely with CNML, understand the operational needs of the Namdini Mine and continuously develop their capacity to provide the goods and services required by the operation.

The summit forms part of CNML’s broader efforts to promote meaningful local participation in the mining value chain while creating an environment where local businesses can better understand procurement processes, regulatory expectations and opportunities within the mining industry.

As part of our commitment to creating opportunities for local employment and supporting local talent, David joined the workforce through the Community & Social Responsibility (CSR) Department of Cardinal Namdini Mining Ltd.

Through hard work, dedication and a strong commitment to excellence, David has continued to grow in his career journey with ZEN Petroleum Holdings PLC, a subcontractor of Cardinal Namdini.
