We are a social impact organization based in Ghana. We provide off-grid Solar Home Systems (SHS) to empower remote communities with clean and reliable energy.

Akadi Solar’s goal is to provide affordable single-home off-grid solar electricity solutions to rural communities in Ghana. Through the use of small-scale solar devices, integrated into the local mobile money network, we are able to offer affordable solar electricity to people of all income levels. Akadi Solar products empower households to enjoy a modern lifestyle and an improved economic well-being.

As of 2021, Ghana’s national electricity access rate stood at approximately 86.63%. However, only about 50% of the rural population had access, compared to 91% in urban areas. Poor road infrastructure continues to delay the delivery of materials needed to expand the grid, making decentralized, sustainable energy solutions more essential than ever for remote communities.
