FanMilk Ghana, in partnership with Miniplast LTD, rolled out the 2025 School Caravan a nationwide drive inspiring schoolchildren to embrace recycling and healthy snacking. From Accra to Kumasi to Takoradi, 1,000 schools joined the campaign, turning waste segregation into fun competitions. Specially labelled bins collected FanMilk wrappers teaching kids the value of proper disposal and recycling.
Top schools were celebrated:
- Accra: Quaye Nungua R/C Basic, Association Community Model Basic, Ashma Tsui Bleoo Basic
- Kumasi: Kaase M/A JHS, KG & Primary
- Takoradi: Whindo Methodist Primary
Together, students collected over 1,025 kg of plastic waste, which Miniplast processed into recycled pellets repurposed as bin liners closing the loop in action.
With prizes from FanMilk and Miniplast, the caravan proved that collaboration can shape a generation committed to sustainability and healthy living.

Undergraduate engineering students from Ashesi University, enrolled in Advanced Machine Shop Design and Manufacturing Processes, visited Miniplast as part of their practical training. The visit provided students with firsthand exposure to the company’s operations and research, complementing the theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom.
The students were taken through the entire production cycle from the collection and processing of used plastics to their transformation into finished goods. They also explored the computer aided manufacturing process, gaining insight into how technology enhances efficiency and innovation.
The interactive session highlighted Miniplast’s commitment to circular economy principles, demonstrating how waste materials can be repurposed into valuable products. In addition, the students learned about Miniplast’s toolroom services, which include custom machine parts, tool repair and refurbishment, prototyping, emergency response, CNC machining, and turning.
This engagement offered meaningful insights into real world challenges and opportunities of sustainable manufacturing, while reinforcing Miniplast’s role as a leader in advancing environmentally responsible practices within Ghana’s plastics industry.
