Sethi Steel Sethi Brothers is one of the oldest and most reputable steel merchants in Sub Saharan Region. If it' Steel Force Kumasi – Steel Trading Co.

SHARING A VISION-The Sethi Way
Sethi Brothers Limited was established in 1976 by Charles and Paul with an initial capital investment of US$10,000. From a humble beginning in Monrovia, Liberia, the company has grown from a general merchandise store dealing in building materials to a leading manufacturer of steel products in West Africa. Indeed, the steep rise of Sethi Brothers is attributed to the vision and foresight of the two brothers who saw the need to acquire Wazni Trading’s Retail Business and Mezbau Incorporated(A Belgium Trading Co.) of Liberia along with its large premises and product lines such as aluminum doors, windows and roofing materials. At that time, the company employed a total staff of 10 expatriates with 200 local employees and generated approximately US$10 Million annually. However, the Liberian civil war in 1989 forced the company to relocate its headquarters temporary in Lome, Togo and subsequently to its present head office in Tema, Ghana in 1994 under the trading name Sethi Brothers (Ghana) Limited. In addition to Sethi Brothers Togo, new branches have been opened in major Ghanaian cities and towns like Tema, Takoradi, Kumasi and Accra giving the company an International outlook. When it comes to construction, the biggest risks are often the ones you can’t see.

The quality of your steel, the standards you follow, and the decisions you make at the beginning of a project will determine how that structure performs for decades to come.

A building isn’t judged the day it’s completed. It’s judged years later - by how well it withstands time, weather, and everyday use.

That’s why choosing the right materials and the right supplier isn’t just another decision. It’s one of the most important investments you’ll make.

Build with confidence. Build with Sethi Steel.

Brief land treatment tips before construction

Survey the land: Confirm boundaries, levels, and existing features.

Clear the site: Remove bushes, trees, debris, and unsuitable materials.

Test the soil: Check soil bearing capacity and identify weak or expansive soils.

Grade and level: Shape the land to provide a stable building platform and proper drainage.

Provide drainage: Ensure rainwater flows away from the future foundation.

Compact the ground: Properly compact filled or loose soil in layers.

Treat pests where needed: Consider termite treatment before foundation work.

Plan access and utilities: Allow space for vehicles, water, electricity, and drainage connections.

Important: Avoid building on filled or waterlogged ground without proper engineering assessment.

A great looking building is impressive. A well-built building is invaluable.

The true strength of any structure isn’t found in the paint, glass or finishing touches. It is found in the quality of the material and workmanship behind the walls.

That’s why every decision made during construction matters. Because what you don’t see today is what will protect the building for years to come.

At Sethi Steel, we are committed to supplying quality materials that help builders create structures that are not only beautiful but built to last.
