Μία ακόμη διάκριση μας κάνει υπερήφανους ξανά στη ΔΕΗ Ανανεώσιμες!

We are constantly increasing our production capacity of green energy.
Renewables is starting the second phase of the construction of the large-scale 490 MW photovoltaic power plant in Megalopoli, a project leading to the transformation of the former lignite sites into a green energy hub. The second phase of the 490 MW photovoltaic project commences with the construction of an additional 125MW on a total area of approximately 494 acres at the "Megalopoli Mine" site.
The first phase of the PV park, with a capacity of 125 MW, is already under construction and is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
The third phase of the project, concerning the construction of the PV plant with a capacity of 240 MW, is expected to begin within 2026.
With an installed capacity of 490 MW, the estimated annual electricity generation is expected to reach 860 GWh. This generation can meet the energy needs of 215,000 households and prevent emissions of 430,000 tons of CO2 annually.

Our joint venture with forges ahead with Greece's energy transition. Today we announced that our joint venture company Meton Energy S.A. has taken the final investment decision for the construction of two large-scale (PV) projects in the Prefecture of Macedonia in Northern Greece. The solar farms Kotyli and Neo Syrrako will have a total capacity of 567 MWp (518 MWac). Construction is planned to start this spring, with commissioning expected in 2027. The estimated annual energy generation of the project is expected to be sufficient to meet the energy needs of more than 140,000 households.

PPC Group inaugurated a new, state-of-the-art control room in for the management of electricity generation from the constantly growing portfolio of wind, photovoltaic and hydroelectric projects of PPC Group in the country.

The new control room of Renewables can carry out in real time the dispatchers’ orders received from the system operator and manage efficiently and immediately a large volume of plants despite the stochasticity that characterises the generation of energy from .

“PPC Group is creating a new starting point for RES for 2025,” stated PPC group deputy CEO, RES, Konstantinos Mavros, during his intervention at the annual Link Investment Conference for Greece, “GREECE – SPEEDING AHEAD POST INVESTMENT UPGRADE”, which took place in New York, on Monday, December 9, 2024.

Our CEO said that “Greece is among the leading countries in the world in terms of solar and wind pe*******on in generating electricity, the share of has reached 60% of electricity generation, delignification continues, while we are constantly breaking records for the hours that our system relies exclusively on RES.”

This, as he explained, "creates a new starting point for 2025, as Group, following the presentation of its strategic plan for the next three years, proves that it will continue to play a leading role in the development of renewable energy sources", as it becomes clear that it is absolutely necessary to continue the energy transition and to increase investments required to achieve the goal of green transition.

Οι εργαζόμενοι της ΔΕΗ Ανανεώσιμες ανταποκρίθηκαν στο κάλεσμα για εθελοντική αιμοδοσία σε συνεργασία με το νοσοκομείο Παίδων Αγία Σοφία. Στα γραφεία της εταιρείας στην Αγία Παρασκευή έσπευσε μία πλήρως εξοπλισμένη κινητή μονάδα, ενώ τις υπηρεσίες τους προσέφεραν γιατροί του νοσοκομείου, καθώς και ο Ιατρός Εργασίας. Όπως τόνισε η γιατρός του νοσοκομείου, στη μεγάλη επιτυχία της αιμοδοσίας συνέβαλε ο χαμηλός μέσος όρος ηλικίας του προσωπικού.
Στη ΔΕΗ Ανανεώσιμες εκτιμούμε βαθιά την ανταπόκριση – σε κάθε περίσταση – των εργαζομένων μας σε κοινωνικές δράσεις που βελτιώνουν καθημερινά τον κόσμο μας και τους ευχαριστούμε θερμά.

PPC Renewables remains focused on investing in the power of wind and our organic growth!

We just announced that we started the construction phase of three new wind parks in Greece, with a total capacity of approximately 100MW.

The wind parks will be constructed in Rhodope, Phocis, and Argolida and will be equipped with 19 type N149/5.X wind turbines from Nordex.

Upon completion of the projects, expected within the first half of 2026, the estimated annual generation of the three parks will exceed 280 GWh, thus leading to the avoidance of more than 142,000 tonnes of CO2 emitted.

PPC Group’s RES portfolio currently has an installed capacity of approximately 5.5GW.
