In 1956, mechanical engineer Georgios Polemis laid the foundation of what would become one of Southern Europe’s leading pump manufacturers.

Known for his perfectionism, integrity and dedication to engineering excellence, Polemis built more than a manufacturing company—he created a culture of professionalism and respect.

From a small warehouse in 1956 to a modern factory employing 100 people by 1974, his vision shaped the future of DP Pumps and left a lasting mark on Greek industry.

As we celebrate 70 years of history, we honour the engineer whose vision started it all.

At DP DP PUMPS Group, we recognize our role in supporting Ukraine’s recovery—delivering critical pumping solutions for infrastructure, energy systems, and resilient redevelopment.

DP PUMPS Group also signed an NDA to explore partnership opportunities, facilitate technology exchange, and contribute to the modernization and rebuilding of key infrastructure.
