The interior design for Motodynamics HQ in Maroussi is inspired by the experience of highway driving, introducing long circulation pathways with intertwined natural and artificial lighting scenarios, combined with a commitment to environmentally sustainable solutions.

Residence in Ymittos

The main key of the architectural composition is to preserve the house’s architectural features and combine them with modern applications and materials, bringing it up to date. Towards this direction, it was chosen to expose part of the stone wall on the ground floor, highlight the facades as they were, preserve the old iron front doors, and build a new built-in fireplace on the first floor.

Our name, lowfat, stands for the core principals that characterise our architectural work. Α design thinking that articulates around the essentials, the conscious application of materials and construction methods. Along the same lines, our logo conveyed the same ideas through letterforms.
This year marks the 23th year of operation for our office and we felt the time is right to take a fresh, contemporary look at our branding.

Together with our colleague , we developed and present to you a redesign of our logo that emphasises the use of clean, geometric shapes, the bold conveying of ideas and. readability in print and digital media. Our new logo manifests our philosophy, with awareness of our past but also with our eyes set on the future!

Founded in 2001 by Giorgos Varelas and Alexandros Patsis, lowfat architecture + interiors is an architectural design practice based in Athens. The practice’s portfolio includes private residence commissions, leisure interiors, retail stores, hotels and workplaces.
The level of excellence of the studio’s work has been recognised by various awards and publication. True to its core vision as a space of creative collaboration, the studio’s team consists of people with a shared interest in design, culture, material research and construction traditions and methodologies.

House by the sea in Hermione

The architectural design for a 300-square-meter house located by the sea in Ermioni Argolida has been consciously crafted to incorporate water as a central element in its design. This has affected both the residence’s layout and the outdoor space. The house has been carefully designed to showcase the prominence of the water element.
