Building or renovating in Corfu? Here are 3 things worth getting right from the start. 🏗️

1️⃣ Choose materials suited for hot air and humidity. What performs well inland doesn't always hold up on the coast – steel, plaster, and finishes all age differently here than they would elsewhere in Greece.

2️⃣ Understand the terrain before finalising the layout. Corfu's landscape shifts a lot from plot to plot – slope, soil, and sun exposure all affect what's actually possible to build, and where.

3️⃣ Plan for airflow and shade early, not as an afterthought. Good orientation and natural ventilation make a real difference through Corfu's long, hot summers – and they're far easier to design in from the start than to retrofit later.

Getting these right early saves time, cost, and headaches down the line.
