Το εργαστήριο ποιοτικού ελέγχου IONLAB είναι το μοναδικό, σύγχρονο και διαπιστευμένο κατά ΕΛΟΤ ΕΝ ISO 17025 από τον κρατικό φορέα του ΕΣΥΔ, στην ΚΩ. Στο εργαστήριο πραγματοποιούνται χημικές και μικροβιολογικές αναλύσεις σε νερά (πόσιμα, κολυμβητικά, γεωτρήσεων, απόνερα), τρόφιμα, εδάφη, κρασιά, λάδια και αναψυκτικά. Στόχος του εργαστηρίου είναι η παροχή αποτελεσμάτων μετρήσεων που είναι ορθά, αξιόπιστα και επαρκή για τον εκάστοτε συγκεκριμένο σκοπό, διατηρώντας παράλληλα υψηλό επίπεδο απόδοσης.

As the summer season 2025 has already started controlling and monitoring all water matrixes and foodstuff samples is essential. Especially cold and warm water pipes that distribute water to the showers. Standing waters, hard water and heavy metals can lead to bacteria growth. Legionella bacteria are the most common to be found in pipe systems, cooling systems, boilerrooms and even swimming pools and spa. Disinfection and monitoring are the best precautions.
Our accredited laboratory offers all monitoring and analysing services according to the Greek legislation, ISO protocols and HACCP quality systems.

Glaciers are melting faster than ever. As the planet gets hotter, our frozen world is shrinking, making the water cycle more unpredictable. For billions of people, meltwater flows are changing, causing floods, droughts, landslides and sea level rise. Countless communities and ecosystems are at risk of devastation. As we work together to mitigate and adapt to climate change, glacier preservation is a top priority. We must reduce greenhouse gas emissions to slow down glacier retreat. And we must manage meltwater more sustainably. Saving our glaciers is a survival strategy for people and the planet.

Υπάρχει περιορισμός όσον αφορά την ποιότητα νερού προς απόρριψη...για να μην υπάρχουν παρεξηγήσεις...το θέμα είναι στο κατά πόσο θα γίνεται σωστή παρακολούθηση τόσο της άντλησης όσο και της απόρριψης

Our Story

In 2015 Ionlab was founded by Ioni Trakossa, an experienced Chemist holding an MSc in Environmental Chemistry specialising in water microbiology, with the aim to serve the local community and the touristic industry of the island with their quality control needs. Ionlab is accredited by the ESYD for 20 parameters of chemical and microbiological testing, including Salmonella and Legionella. Ionlab is fully accredited for sampling and analysis of Legionella ISO 11731:2017 and our work includes consulting with hoteliers and local businesses regarding the management and elimination of this bacteria. Ionlab works with both private and public sector clients and provides a range of sampling services personalised to the clients needs. Some of our current clients include Kos Hospital and the water supply department of Nisyros municipality, as well as a number of hotels in every corner of the Kos island from small family owned guest houses to large all inclusive resorts. We also serve the local community with testing of water quality in homes and businesses.
