A 150m Ro-Ro/Passenger vessel, operated by Attica Group, suffered a critical rudder stock failure. Following inspection, the component was declared beyond repair.
With a dry-dock window limited to just 10 days and no spare available worldwide within the required timeframe, manufacturing became the only viable solution.

KIMI completed successfully the manufacturing of a new rudder stock, based on reverse engineering and OEM specifications, under continuous class supervision.
From raw material to Class approval, the process included:
โข Metallurgical verification & class-approved testing (tensile, hardness, impact, UT)
โข Heavy-duty 4-axis CNC machining (ร440 mm ร 6 m, 6 t)
โข Strict in-process dimensional control
โข Final concentricity: < 0.03 mm
