Digestate is emerging as a valuable input for modern agriculture and sustainable soil management.

As Eleni Bairami mentions in her article in Energypress.gr - Δημοσιογραφικό portal για την ενέργεια its nutrient profile and organic content make it a practical alternative to synthetic fertilizers, supporting healthier soils and reducing production costs for farmers.

As biogas/biomethane production expands, the role of digestate becomes increasingly relevant. Effective utilization can strengthen circular economy, improve land resilience, and contribute to more sustainable agricultural systems.

At the Energy Corridors conference, ECO Hellas - Renewable Energies South East Europe highlighted biomethane as a breakthrough solution for Greece and Southeast Europe.
During the panel discussion, our CEO Eleni Bairami joined Dimitrios Triantafyllopoulos and Panagiotis Grammelis, under the moderation of Dimitrios Pefanis, to explore how biomethane and hydrogen can accelerate Europe’s green transformation.

Domestic, circular and scalable, biomethane transforms waste into value, strengthens rural regions and enhances energy resilience.
With ISCC‑EU certification, Greek biomethane can enter the grid and move through the Vertical Corridor — enabling Europe’s first Green Corridor and unlocking cross‑border flows of certified green molecules.

The rapid rise of Bio‑LNG offers immediate decarbonization pathways for shipping and heavy transport, with cross‑border trade already technically and commercially mature.

Biomethane and Bio‑LNG position Greece as a regional hub for green molecules, delivering fast, practical and export‑ready solutions for Europe’s energy transition.

Our General Manager, Eleni Bairami participated in the 11th Energy Transition Symposium organized by Hellenic Association for Energy Economics - HAEE discussing whether alternative fuels are a real solution or a distant vision in a panel together with Emmanouil Kakaras, Panagiotis Grammelis and Evan Kyritsis, PhD, moderated by Konstantinos Bergeles, Ph.D.
Eleni emphasized a clear message: green gases are not an alternative — they are a necessity. Their growth depends on a stable, competitive regulatory framework and a functioning market. With stable pricing mechanisms and targeted policies, green gases can unlock decarbonization, circular economy benefits and energy autonomy, enabling Greece to emerge as a regional energy hub.
