🛰️ How do you keep satellite electronics cool?

Electronic devices with reduced size and increased power are key for applications to open up a new world of possibilities with innovative applications!

project supported by EU Horizon 2020 aims at developing the building blocks to solve the thermal management issues associated with the use of these components and unlocking their potential!

✨ Adamant Composites together with the project partners has developed and characterized a film adhesive that works as a thermal interface material to bond RF and LF electronic packages and components in .

A huge thanks to TAS for leading this project and to all our partners for the excellent teamwork: AlterSpain, AlterUK, Bristol university, CSEM, EGIDE, Politechnika Warsawska, RHP.

Ανακοίνωση προς αποκατάσταση της αλήθειας:

Χθες δυστυχώς παρακολουθήσαμε τη δημοσίευση (της παρακάτω) ανάρτησης, δυσφημιστικής για την Adamant Composites , να διαδίδεται ταχύτατα στο διαδίκτυο, συνοδευόμενη από πλήθος αναδημοσιεύσεων και αρνητικών σχολίων, συμπεριλαμβανομένων ακόμα και απειλών, που πλήττουν το κύρος τόσο της εταιρείας μας όσο και των ιδρυτών της.

Θα θέλαμε λοιπόν να διευκρινίσουμε ότι στο συγκεκριμένο σημείο της παρουσίασης που κάναμε στα πλαίσια του 1st Athens Space & Satellite Industry Summit,αναφερόμαστε στις διαστημικές αποστολές, ελληνικές ή διεθνείς, στις οποίες έχουν συμμετάσχει η ίδια η εταιρεία αλλά και οι ιδρυτές της και στελέχη της, σε χρόνο είτε προηγούμενο είτε κατόπιν της ίδρυσής της. Θεωρούμε ότι η προηγούμενη εμπειρία και τεχνογνωσία των ανθρώπων που απαρτίζουν τη σπουδαία ομάδα της Adamant Composites αποτελεί αναπόσπαστο μέρος της συνολικής εμπειρίας της εταιρείας στον τομέα της διαστημικής, συμβάλλει ουσιαστικά στην έως τώρα επιτυχημένη πορεία της και πρέπει να αναδεικνύεται.

Όσον αφορά το εν λόγω project (UPSat), ενώ πράγματι δεν συμμετείχε η ίδια η Adamant, οι ιδρυτές της Αντώνης Βαβουλιώτης (σημερινός Διευθύνων Σύμβουλος της εταιρείας), Θάνος Μπαλτόπουλος (σημερινός Εμπορικός Διευθυντής της), Γιώργος Σωτηριάδης, Θανάσης Κοτζακόλιος και άλλοι διδάκτορες του Πανεπιστημίου Πατρών, με την καθοδήγηση του καθηγητή Βασίλη Κωστόπουλου, εργάστηκαν με πολύ κόπο για περισσότερα από 5 χρόνια για την θεσμική αλλά και τεχνική θεμελίωση και προώθηση της αποστολής (University of Patras Cubesat = UPSat).

Μάλιστα, o Θάνος Μπαλτοπουλος έκανε την πρώτη παρουσίαση σχετικά με την αποστολή στα πλαίσια του Vega Maiden Flight CubeSat Workshop στην ESA/ESTEC στις 24 Ιανουαρίου 2008, ενώ ο Γιώργος Σωτηριάδης συνέβαλε και τεχνικά κατά την εκτέλεση του έργου.

Θα θέλαμε να ζητήσουμε συγνώμη από οποιονδήποτε νιώθει θιγμένος από την ατυχή διατύπωση στην παρουσίασή μας και δηλώνουμε ότι δεν υπήρχε οποιαδήποτε πρόθεση να οικειοποιηθούμε τον κόπο και τον ιδρώτα κανενός. Πολλοί μάλιστα από αυτούς που εμφανίζονται στη σελίδα του UPSat είναι ακόμα και σήμερα συνεργάτες μας και γνωρίζουν την συνολική δουλειά μας όλα αυτά τα χρόνια και τη συμβολή μας στο UPSat.

Η συμβολή της ιδρυτικής ομάδας της Adamant Composites στην θεμελίωση και προώθηση της συγκεκριμένης αποστολής στον Ευρωπαϊκό Οργανισμό Διαστήματος και μέσω του προγράμματος QΒ50, είναι αποδεδειγμένη. Χωρίς αυτή θα ήταν αδύνατο οι συμμετέχοντες, Έλληνες και ξένοι μηχανικοί και ερευνητές, να έχουν την ευκαιρία να υλοποιήσουν την πρώτη αμιγώς ελληνική αποστολή cubesat.

Θα παρακαλούσαμε λοιπόν για την άμεση απόσυρση της εν λόγω ανάρτησης και την αποκατάσταση της αλήθειας από όλους όσους έχουν αναδημοσιεύσει την επίμαχη ανάρτηση. Επιφυλασσόμαστε για την άσκηση κάθε νόμιμου δικαιώματός μας, σε περίπτωση μη συμμόρφωσης και μη εξάλειψης όλων των δυσφημιστικών σχολίων και αρνητικών δημοσιεύσεων.

“Market Ready” for ADAMANT’s FXply™ technology in the EU-H2020 Innovation Radar

🏆 2015 was a milestone year for us from many perspectives. One of them was the start of the PLATFORM project, under the framework of of the European Commission. During the project, Lines were developed for the industrialization of nano-enabling technologies for composites, while the project was successfully completed in 2018.

The most important outcome of this cooperation was the industrial technology for modifying materials with -Nanotubes (CNT-treated prepregs). The technology enables the realization of improved and high-performance composite structures with minimal change of existing production processes. ADAMANT collaborated closely with the University of Patras to develop their enabling innovative technology. ADAMANT offers this technology under the tradename ™ technology.
