Semac Group announces the completion of the DESFA Compression Station in Komotini, executed in cooperation with 𝐁𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐢 for 𝐃𝐄𝐒𝐅𝐀.

The project included 𝐜𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥, 𝐦𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥, 𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬, completed with focus on safety, precision, and compliance across all phases — from engineering and procurement to construction, installation, and commissioning.

Delivering one of Greece’s key energy infrastructure projects further strengthens our role as a reliable EPC contractor in the 𝐎𝐢𝐥 & 𝐆𝐚𝐬 and 𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 sectors.

We are proud to announce the successful dispatch of our 𝐆𝐚𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐆𝐑𝐌𝐒) to the 𝐆𝐫𝐮𝐝𝐳𝐢ą𝐝𝐳 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐆𝐚𝐬 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐞 (𝐂𝐂𝐆𝐓) 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭 in Poland. This project with main contractor Metlen Energy & Metals (formerly MYTILINEOS), aims to enhance Poland’s energy capacity with a 560MW gas-fired power plant.

SEMAC’s contribution encompasses the complete 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧, 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 of the GRMS, ensuring 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐠𝐚𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 for the power plant.

🚧 Progress Update: 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐟𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐊𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐢

We’re excited to share the progress of our work on a key infrastructure project in Komotini, Greece, in collaboration with Bonatti for DESFA S.A.. This project is part of the critical Oil & Gas sector, and we’re proud to be contributing to its success.

Our scope includes:

🔨 𝐂𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬
Building essential facilities such as the Electrical Control Building, warehouse, and guardhouse, complete with reinforced concrete structures, roofing, and interior and exterior finishes. Installing plumbing and electrical systems, as well as HDPE pipelines for fire water, potable water, and oily water systems, including valves and fittings.

⚙️ 𝐌𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬
Erecting static and rotating equipment, fabricating and installing piping, and performing thorough Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) like VT, RT, UT, and PT.
Sandblasting, painting, and assembling steel structures and pipe supports, along with conducting pressure tests and system cleaning.

⚡ 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 & 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
Installing key systems, including switchgears, transformers, motor control centers (MCC), UPS systems, and Power Management Systems (PMS).
Implementing advanced safety and operational systems like earthing, lightning protection, CCTV, access control, fire and gas detection, and HVAC systems.

We are proud to announce the successful completion of the Thessaloniki Metro stations, a monumental project that will enhance urban mobility and sustainability in the city. Our scope of work included the installation, connection, and testing of key electrical and mechanical systems critical to the metro’s operation:

⚡ 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬:
Traction and auxiliary power substations for train and station operations.
Medium and low voltage panels for power distribution, lighting, low current, and communication systems.
UPS systems, grounding systems, automation & control systems (BACS & PLC), telecommunications equipment, and HVAC systems.
Fire detection, signaling equipment, and access control systems.

🔧 𝐌𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬:
Installation of expansion shaft fans, motorized fire barriers, silencers, and monorails for electrical and mechanical equipment.
Our team provided the essential supporting materials, including grids, cables, and connectors, ensuring the flawless installation of these systems. This project marks a major step forward in Thessaloniki's infrastructure, offering residents a faster, safer, and more sustainable transit option.
