Sustainability doesn’t stop at the workplace🌿

Last Saturday, the A. Hatzopoulos S.A. team stepped away from the office and into nature, joining forces with Thes Φιλοσοφία and Εχεδώρου φύσις for a voluntary clean-up initiative along the Thermaic Gulf and the Axios-Loudias-Aliakmonas National Park.

Together, we removed abandoned plastic mussel farming barrels and other waste from this important ecosystem, proving that when people come together with a shared purpose, even small actions can make a real impact.

A huge thank you to all our people and partners who volunteered, for their enthusiasm, teamwork and commitment. Here's to protecting the places that matter, one initiative at a time. 💚

A. Hatzopoulos S.A. participated in the “Risk & Compliance Forum 2026” organized by ICAP CRIF in Thessaloniki, with our CEO, Mr. Argyris Tsaknis, joining the main panel discussion titled: “Risk as Opportunity: Building Resilience in Volatile Times”.

During his speech, Mr. Tsaknis addressed the new European PPWR regulation, highlighting that A. Hatzopoulos S.A. already complies with the relevant criteria, despite the official implementation timeline extending to 2030. He emphasized that the transition toward more sustainable packaging solutions represents not only a regulatory requirement, but also a significant opportunity for growth, innovation, and expansion into new markets. ♻️

Special reference was also made to our company’s newly established R&D Center, which further strengthens our capabilities in developing advanced and sustainable packaging solutions. 🔬

At the same time, Mr. Tsaknis underlined the importance of transparent and timely communication with customers during periods of geopolitical uncertainty and market volatility, reaffirming the stability, reliability, and long-term partnerships that have defined A. Hatzopoulos S.A. throughout its 95 years of continuous operation. 📈

Η Α. Χατζόπουλος Α.Ε. συμμετείχε στο “Risk & Compliance Forum 2026” της ICAP CRIF, το οποίο πραγματοποιήθηκε στη Θεσσαλονίκη, με τον CEO της εταιρείας μας, κ. Argyris Tsaknis II να συμμετέχει ως ομιλητής στο κεντρικό πάνελ με θέμα: “Risk as Opportunity: Building Resilience in Volatile Times”.

Κατά την τοποθέτησή του, ο κ. Τσακνής αναφέρθηκε στον νέο Ευρωπαϊκό Κανονισμό PPWR, επισημαίνοντας ότι η Α. Χατζόπουλος Α.Ε. ήδη ανταποκρίνεται στα σχετικά κριτήρια, παρά το γεγονός ότι οι απαιτήσεις τίθενται επίσημα σε εφαρμογή το 2030. ♻️

Τόνισε επίσης ότι για την εταιρεία μας η μετάβαση προς πιο βιώσιμες λύσεις συσκευασίας αποτελεί σημαντική ευκαιρία ανάπτυξης και καινοτομίας, ενώ ιδιαίτερη αναφορά έγινε και στο νέο R&D Center της εταιρείας, το οποίο ενισχύει περαιτέρω τις δυνατότητες ανάπτυξης προηγμένων και βιώσιμων λύσεων συσκευασίας. 🔬

Παράλληλα, αναφέρθηκε στη σημασία της έγκαιρης και τεκμηριωμένης ενημέρωσης των πελατών σε περιόδους διεθνών προκλήσεων και μεταβολών της αγοράς, υπογραμμίζοντας τη σταθερότητα και αξιοπιστία που χαρακτηρίζουν την Α. Χατζόπουλος Α.Ε. εδώ και 95 χρόνια επιτυχημένης πορείας. 📈

Θα θέλαμε να ευχαριστήσουμε θερμά την Safeblock για την πρόσκληση και τη φιλοξενία της κας Κωνσταντίνας Σιάγα, Υπεύθυνης Υγείας & Ασφάλειας της εταιρείας μας, στο podcast «Ασφαλώς», το 1ο ελληνικό podcast αποκλειστικά αφιερωμένο στην υγεία και την ασφάλεια στον εργασιακό χώρο.

Μέσα απο τη συζήτηση αναδείχθηκαν σημαντικά ζητήματα που αφορούν τις προκλήσεις της βιομηχανίας εύκαμπτης συσκευασίας, την αξία μιας κουλτούρας ασφάλειας και εμπιστοσύνης, καθώς και τον ρόλο που έχουν οι σωστές πρακτικές και τα μέσα ατομικής προστασίας στη δημιουργία ενός πραγματικά ασφαλούς εργασιακού περιβάλλοντος.

As the exhibition comes to a close, we would like to sincerely thank everyone who visited our booth over the past week. It has been a pleasure meeting up with so many partners and creating new connections from across the global packaging industry.

🏆Proud moment for our team!

Yesterday, we had the honor of attending the WorldStar Awards ceremony during Interpack 2026, organized by the World Packaging Organisation (WPO). We are thrilled to share that we received this prestigious award in recognition of our high-end, all-PE monomaterial solutions featuring easy-open functionality, designed to meet the needs of the most demanding packaging applications.

This achievement reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation, sustainability, and performance in packaging. Developing monomaterial structures that combine recyclability with premium functionality is a challenge we are proud to take on; and this recognition reinforces that we are on the right path.

The award was received on behalf of our company by our CEO, Argyris Tsaknis, our R&D Director, Lefteris Tourasanidis, and Eleftherios Hatzopoulos, Member of the Board and representative of the 4th generation of our family business-highlighting both our legacy and our forward-looking vision.
