This unfortunate incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of adhering to safe mining practices at all times. We call on all dredge owners, operators, and miners to take every necessary precaution to ensure the safety and well-being of their employees and fellow workers.

While mining remains a vital contributor to our nation's development, profits must never come at the expense of human life. Let us all recommit ourselves to responsible and safe mining practices so that every miner has the opportunity to return home safely to their families.

The visit focused on exploring new technologies aimed at improving gold recovery during the leaching process, with the goal of helping small and medium-scale miners increase efficiency, productivity, and overall recovery rates within the mining sector.
