*Statement of Condolence and Condemnation*
The Essequibo Islands–West Demerara Chamber of Commerce and Industry extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of Adriel Mohamed. We grieve with you.
Adriel’s passing is a loss that has touched this community deeply, and we stand in solidarity with all who mourn him. To his father, who is personally known to President Bhabita Albert, we offer a particular word. He is a man of quiet strength and unwavering devotion, one whose love for his children has long been evident to those around him. There is no grief heavier than the loss of a child, and our hearts are with him and his family during these harrowing days.
The Chamber condemns, without reservation, the murder of Adriel Mohamed. Violence of this kind has no place in our community. It tears apart families and leaves wounds that do not easily heal. We call on the relevant authorities to conduct a thorough and impartial investigation and to pursue justice with the full force and diligence the law demands.
To our community, we ask that you hold the Mohamed family close. Offer what comfort you can. In the days and weeks ahead, their greatest strength will come from knowing they are not alone.
May Adriel Mohamed rest in peace. May his family find comfort, in time, in the love that surrounds them.
With deepest sympathy
