⚓ Tug Master
The Tug Master is responsible for the overall command and safe operation of the vessel, including navigation, crew management, and compliance with maritime regulations. The successful candidate will ensure the safety and welfare of all personnel on board, oversee vessel movements, and implement company policies and operational procedures while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

⚙️ Tug Engineer
The Tug Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and reliability of the vessel's mechanical, propulsion, electrical, and auxiliary systems. The role includes managing engineering activities, ensuring compliance with technical and environmental standards, conducting preventative maintenance, and supporting the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.

GMIN Ventures Guyana Inc. in collaboration with G Mining Services, recently visited Karrau Village, Region Seven, to support ongoing community development efforts and strengthen stakeholder engagement.

Community Business Development Coordinator Shelana Fredericks and Engineering Manager, G Mining Services, Mathieu Rheaume conducted a site assessment and provided technical guidance for a proposed community project. The team also met with Acting Headteacher Adriana John to assess a request for assistance with the construction of a kitchen at the Karrau Creek Nursery School.

During the visit, the team engaged residents on social investment initiatives, shared updates on the Oko West Project, distributed informational materials, and gathered feedback on future community priorities.

The team also met with Regional Executive Officer Dr. Josh Kanhai, Toshao Shane Cornelius, and Region Seven Department of Works Overseer Colin McKenzie to discuss opportunities for continued collaboration and sustainable development across the region.

GMIN Ventures Guyana Inc. and Guyana Port Inc. (GPI) on June 2, 2026, hosted a keel laying ceremony at GPI's shipyard in Hope, East Bank Demerara, marking the official commencement of construction of a tug and barge that will support logistics operations for the Oko West Gold Project in Region Seven.

The project represents a significant collaboration between GMIN and GPI, showcasing the strength of local partnerships and Guyanese industrial capability in supporting one of the country's largest emerging mining developments. The tug and barge will play a vital role in transporting equipment, materials, and supplies to the Oko West Project, contributing to the efficient ex*****on of construction and future operations.

Representing GMIN at the ceremony were Chief Executive Officer, Louis-Pierre Gignac, Board Chairman Louis Gignac Sr., Vice President, Sustainability Eduardo Leao, General Manager Krishna Singh, Country Manager Bjorn Jeune, Administrative Services Manager Ravi Samaroo, Supply Chain Manager Jermain Westmaas, and Communications Specialist Stacy Carmichael.

This milestone reflects GMIN's commitment to local content, strategic partnerships, and investing in Guyanese businesses that contribute to sustainable economic growth and national development. In honour of World Environment Day, G Mining Ventures is pleased to announce the release of its 2025 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report. This report highlights a pivotal year in which the company transitioned from a mine developer to an operator, advancing its growth into a multi-asset, mid-tier gold producer.

Our latest report showcases tangible actions taken to support sustainable growth, from advancing reforestation and renewable energy initiatives to strengthening community partnerships and ensuring responsible supply chains.

Key Highlights:
🦺 Zero fatalities across ~3.7 million hours worked, with strong injury frequency rates maintained across all three assets.
🌍 11 of 13 sustainability commitments delivered with a 100% completion rate against our 2025 targets, with zero significant environmental non-compliances, fines or regulatory sanctions across the portfolio.
👷 ~80–100% local workforce participation across our operations, backed by ~$127.7M in local procurement across Brazil and Guyana.
💧 7.72 million cubic metres of process water recycled at Tocantinzinho, with full compliance across all water quality permits, standards and regulations.
🤝 Human rights due diligence advanced: completed our first Human Rights Impact Assessment and developed a supply chain risk map covering 150+ suppliers, alongside community grievance systems now active and resolved across all three assets.

In observance of World Environment Day, employees from several departments at our Oko West Project in Region Seven came together to participate in a site-wide clean-up campaign aimed at promoting environmental stewardship and reinforcing the importance of maintaining a safe and sustainable workplace.

The initiative, spearheaded by the Environment Department, saw team members actively engaged in collecting and properly disposing of waste across designated areas of the site while raising awareness about the role each individual plays in protecting the environment.

As we celebrate World Environment Day, we remain committed to minimizing our environmental footprint and advancing responsible mining practices that contribute to the long-term well-being of our communities and the natural environment.

Our Oko West Gold Project in Guyana was featured in Mining Network International highlighting the milestone progress of our construction. Our mine-building phase includes significant progress across processing plant foundations, power infrastructure, tailings development, fleet mobilization, and river logistics. By the end of Q1 2026, the project achieved an overall completion rate of 19.7% and is on track to produce its first gold in the second half of 2027, with commercial production expected to begin in January 2028.

We are particularly proud that over 80% of the project's workforce consists of locals from Guyana, demonstrating our commitment to local employment, training, and long-term economic development. With more than 1,300 workers on site and significant construction milestones being reached, Oko West is rapidly emerging as one of the Guiana Shield’s most important new gold operations.
