: Just how fine do venting gaps need to be? 🔍

Standard plastic vents use a 35-micron gap. But under pressure, LSR thins out completely, aggressively leaking through anything larger than 5 microns (1/14th of a human hair).

If it escapes, it creates ragged "flash," turning medical and consumer parts into instant scrap.

What does this mean for machines makers? Multi-ton presses must clamp steel molds with extreme rigidity to prevent even a microscopic fraction of tool flex.
